Unique Options
With its powerful stance, iconic proportions and state-of-the-art technology, the Continental 54 is a timeless interpretation of the modern luxury open yacht. Not only is Continental 54 the signature CNM, it is also the very essence of the marque. The new engines and surface drives deliver the abundance of effortless power that has always made CNM a breathtaking ride. It goes without saying that she was conceived to be fast and spacious with surface drives allowing the owner to cruise in shallow waters as well as rough open seas.
Yet the pleasure begins before you even own a Continental 54, as you can choose the personal elements to make your yacht truly yours. This is a yacht to be commissioned, and to be enjoyed.
Unmistakably Continental
The hand drawn lines give Continental 54 a feeling of understated elegance, and suggests movement even when the yacht is stationary. The power and dynamism of the yacht are heightened by the spotless custom paintwork.
The exterior lounging areas are the largest fitted as standard to a day cruiser. Providing comfort and safety, they are an integral part of CNM DNA, and help to give the Continental 54 its commanding presence. You can choose from an unlimited number of exterior options, including different designs, colors and finishes, to complement any specification.
Our craftspeople can effortlessly fulfil any request. Whatever your choice, your Continental 54 will always be of the highest quality to ensure that the CNM brand is always synonym of excellence.
A Sense of Outer Space
With its low deck height and practically free of steps, walking aboard the Continental 54 is truly graceful. The passengers step effortlessly on to, rather than climb into the bow. While the uninterrupted walkway to the sea adds an extra sense of freedom for those in the stern.
The optional stern platform unfolds to welcome you into a private environment that showcases the work of the CNM master craftsmen. The CNM teak decking, with up to 800 of highest quality Burmese Teak slats, custom cut and positioned by hand to create the impression of an uninterrupted melody. You can configure the upper deck to your tastes, and add elements such as water misters to keep you and fellow passengers relaxed on even the warmest days, or custom colored caulking to add a personal touch.
A Sanctuary of Technology
You can choose to make the interior space of your Continental 54 completely your own by specifying the layout or choosing among the finest and most precious materials to create a real feeling of elegance. The perfect environment to enjoy the unrivalled Crestron experience from the audio system’s speakers and subwoofers, all at the touch of your fingertips.
With the audio system turned off, Continental 54’s sumptuous interior is absolutely silent. Bathed in natural light from four separate skylights and two portholes and swathed in the supplest of leather, the finest book-matched wood veneers and deep tufted carpets, it is an oasis of comfort and calm, and showcases the fine skills of the CNM craftspeople who created it.
A Modern Touch
The Continental 54 has a full complement of advanced technology both inside and outside the engine room. Everything is designed to work in union. The Master-Trim system automatically regulates the yacht’s trim to provide the most balanced ride. The result is fingertip control at the helm and a dynamic connection with the sea, making cruising an uncomplicated pleasure in any weather.
The Digital Switching system makes every journey more enjoyable, with two flush 12” front monitors to give you a clear view whenever you use the navigation system. The touch screens put everything at your fingertips to make operation effortless, while the latest communications technology ensures that you are always connected to the world with VHF, AIS, SAT and High-Speed Internet.
Audio-Visual Control
Technology doesn’t just make cruising a pleasure, it makes it safer too. Continental 54 has an optional radar system to give you clear views of the waters around in either direction. A thermal military grade camera may also be installed to make cruising simple when visibility is low.
Passengers aboard the Continental 54 can also enjoy the comforts of the advanced technology. The Crestron Entertainment System Configuration with Bang & Olufsen and JL speakers allow passengers to be able to watch SAT TV, Apple TV, DVD or stream their favorite music like they have never done before.
Passengers can control and regulate every light on board from their phone or iPad, creating perfect scenarios whenever they want.
Dynamic Cruising
Just as the Continental 54’s presence is quietly authoritative, the delivery of power from the common rail injection 6-cylinder engines is equally impressive. You can choose to enhance the cruising pleasure by opting for the Master-Trim package, which accentuates the maneuverability and power, creating the ultimate performance ride.
You can specify additional options to create a more elegant engine room, such as a custom engine paintwork and a design cover winner of the Red Dot Award.
The CNM engineers will also provide support fine tuning the yacht to your specifications working with Rolla, the world’s best propeller manufacturer, delivering the edge you would expect of a high-performance yacht from the elegance and power of the Continental 54.
Bespoke to You
A new Continental is not simply purchased. It is commissioned. With our Bespoke program, you can create a yacht that reflects your tastes exactly. CNM will be at your disposal to guide you through the most exclusive customization process.
When it comes to specifying a color for your Continental, there are infinite hues in our palette for you to choose from. You can also ask us to add a custom contrast boot stripe to create a color motif throughout the yacht.
Unique Details
Many owners look for subtle, understated ways to make their Continental unique to them. For instance, you can add a personal touch with embroidery, asking our specialists to stitch your initials, family crest of personal emblem into the leatherwork. Personal themes and designs can be carried through every aspect of your yacht, including everything from precious marbles, to a precision engineered dashboard that can be adapted to your preferences.
Another option is our Special-Order paintwork, which allows you to develop your own color for the exterior coating as well as your Continental’s interior. Even the name plates and all the accessories can be finished to your tastes, polished AISI 316 stainless steel or brushed titanium for example. The CNM team will focus on the smallest of details to add the personalization you require.
Freedom is a Gentle Push
The passengers dive effortlessly into the water from wherever they are by walking on to the side platforms which electronically open and close at will. Freedom is at your fingertips as you can double the beam of the Continental 54 with the push of a button.
When it is too warm to lounge outside, the optional stern platform unfolds into the water creating a majestic beach club worthy of a mega yacht. The platform may also be used to allow passengers to walk on and off, rather than jump or climb onto and off the yacht, resulting in a comfortable and safe experience for guests of all ages.
Color Without Compromise
Achieving the flawless, Continental color and piano shine finish is nothing short of extraordinary. It all starts at the beginning, when every composite surface, after being completely cured, is perfectly leveled by hand using only the finest epoxy fillers and primers and long fairing boards. The hand fairing process is repeated at least four times before the first layer of paint is applied to ensure the smoothest finish.
After at least five layers of paint – two of which are a high gloss clear coat – our independent inspectors spend up to a week rigorously checking every surface of the yacht.
Once the paintwork is perfect, they meticulously sand the whole yacht and apply a final double high-gloss clear coat layer to obtain perfect gloss and smoothness. They finish by applying a final protective layer to shield the coating from environmental strain. We estimate more than two thousand hours go into painting a Continental 54 from start to finish.
Painstaking precision is a significant factor behind the success of the Continental paintwork. And that level of perfection is never easy to achieve.
The Art of Wood
Wood remains a living, breathing material, long after the tree is treated – each piece having its own characteristics. No one better understands how to work with these traits to transform wood into a unique design than the CNM expert craftsmen.
Wood is one of the defining features of a Continental as every piece of interior furniture is masterfully crafted in house at the CNM woodshop using only the finest materials.
Every yacht CNM builds is unique and bespoke. CNM doesn’t have clever automation system for wood, because they don’t exist. They rely on the craftsmen talent, skill, and the touch and feel – something that comes through years of training and experience.
Each piece of wood goes through an intensive process. Once it has been selected, it is carefully sanded, and layers of lacquer masterfully applied. It is then treated to a final finesse before the veneer undergoes a rigorous inspection.
The Art of Leather
The leather inside a Continental is unlike any other. It is the finest in the world. The bulls give our craftspeople the most exquisite material to work with. And it is in the hands of these artisans that the real magic happens.
Inside the CNM yachts, Leather Specialists are able to customize the leather with stitching, monograms and images. Whatever your imagination desires.
This talented team applies its skills to countless luxury materials, from alligator and ostrich skin, to the finest of silks. Continental and its breathtaking interior introduced a completely new level of individualized luxury.
It is the tireless dedication and endless skill of the CNM talented craftspeople combined with the finest leather in the world, that helps make the interiors of Continental so legendary.
Made to Measure
The process of creating your very own Continental 54 and introducing more subtle, unique details is as liberating as the journeys you will encounter.
Everything starts on the drawing board where you can finally bring your dreams to life. Discover each and every feature is an opportunity to write your own story.
You can choose from our general arrangement plan selection or let us guide you through developing your own layout and interior design.
The Art of Textiles
Only the rarest and the finest fibers from all over the world, crafted to the highest artisanal standards, can be transformed into precious upholstery pieces for Continental.
Defining pieces of Continental’s interiors are masterfully crafted at the Loro Piana factory using only the finest materials.
Loro Piana has journeyed to distant lands and the farthest corners of the globe in the pursuit of excellence. Because a commitment to constant improvement means continuing to strive for perfection.
