MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION AS OF AUGUST 2022
NEW ASKING PRICE $115,000
The owner of Bagatelle so much enjoyed the process of building a boat with Hylan & Brown he's doing it again. Need to make room for the new boat so big price reduction as of 8/1/2022 and all reasonable offers given careful consideration.
Built in 2014 by Hylan & Brown (Brooklin, ME) BAGATELLE is hull #1 of the “Bowler” design and since that time the company has built a sister-ship and is currently working on their hull #3 to soon be launched for the 2022 boating season.
BAGATELLE’s sweet lines reference the 1920s designs of William Hand and others, yet she is distinctly contemporary at the same time. The hand shaped detail and custom brush applied finish enrich every moment on deck and below.
For sure BAGATELLE is perfect for a sunset cocktail cruise or afternoon island picnic but the “Bowler” design is equally suited to adventures further afield as had been proven by sistership SKYE with cruises to Cape Cod and Southern New England proving these boats to be safe and comfortable coastal cruisers.
BAGATELLE has been built with the care and quality one would expect of a multi-generational heirloom. Hylan and Brown have maintained BAGATELLE for her owners since first launched and as a result she is in ‘like new’ condition.

The interior spaces are more than adequate and comfortable for two persons for an overnight or longer cruise.
Stepping down from the companionway one is struck by how light and airy the interior spaces appear due in large part to the Herreschoff interior style of white painted hull interiors and joinery fronts accented by varnished mahogany trim and counter tops and the generous amount of natural light given by the oval-shaped portlights.
To port of the companionway is a galley area with manually operated fresh (cold) water supplied by a bronze faucet / hand-pump to a polished stainless steel sink basin let into the varnished mahogany counter top. There is generous storage space in drawers and lockers located above and below the counter space. NOTE: Actual cooking is done with the use of a single burner butane stove. This stove is normally stored in a varnished Oak “Galley Box” which is stored below the passenger seat when not in use.
To starboard of the companionway is a varnished mahogany seat bench and locker storage above and outboard of the seating area. The seat bench folds up to allow access to the marine toilet. Furthest forward are sleeping accommodations for two in a v-berth configuration with under-berth storage space.
As mentioned above the interior spaces are well supplied with natural light from the oval portlights in the cabin sides. Additional lighting is provided by polished brass electric reading and overhead dome lights. Further still the overhead hatch (when opened) provides for more natural light and ventilation of the interior space.
