The covered bridge deck features a raised L-settee to port and helm to starboard. Excellent ventilation is offered with front facing, side-opening windows, overhead hatches in the hardtop and side curtain roll-up windows and removable aft enclosure.  A varnished teak companionway door and hatch with teak side handles leads to the cabin below.

The ergonomic helm to starboard features excellent sightlines and an optional extra-large Bristol Cushions XR helm chair with lifting bolster. The helm, with fiberglass control console, houses the optional Raymarine electronics package. Varnished teak accents, including stainless steel and teak wheel with Hunt logo, teak instrument cluster, teak shelf below wheel, console top fiddles, and stainless steel cup holder with teak trim, accentuate the classic styling of this Surfhunter 29.

OPTIONAL Fiberglass hardtop with custom exterior teak trim, two Lewmar opening hatches with screens, headliner panels with four recessed lights on dimmers.  The Hardtop sits on the windshield forward and aft on a stainless steel arch with handholds on an angle to assist with side boarding.  Canvas with isinglass windows and drop curtains offers a full enclosure for the helm deck.

The large cockpit features an optional full-beam transom seat with a removable center section. There is also an aft facing double bench seat.  Side boarding steps provide access to the side decks.

The cabin features a large v-berth with filler forward with a compact and functional galley to port and an enclosed head and shower to starboard.
