The Prestige 440S is the best running 44 foot express cruiser yacht on the water today. Her hull was designed by Michael Peters, the world renowned naval architect. Michael is known for designing some of the fastest racing boats in multiple designs and classes worldwide. The yachts propulsion system utilizes twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 drives. The maneuverability and performance is spectacular with this system. She cruises at 22-24 knots burning only one gallon per mile. At wide open throttle she averages 33 knots burning 42 gallons per hour.
The yacht has two private staterooms and two baths. The forward bath also serves as a day head accessible from the lower salon. The salon along with each stateroom has their own air conditioning compressor and air handlers for individual climate control. The galley has a large refrigerator, a sink, a two burner electric stove, and a microwave. The table in the salon retracts to form a base for a bed in the salon area. There is a Samsung flat panel LED television in the salon along with a DVD player and a Pioneer stereo system.
The upper salon area contains the helm controls, a table with seating for eight people, a small refrigerator, a counter area with a wet sink. Overhead the huge electric sunroof allows the outside in. This salon area is separated from the stern cockpit area by a moveable electric window. When the window is in the lower position the area between the upper salon and the cockpit becomes one large party area able to seat 10-12 people. During inclement weather the window can be closed and the upper salon because a cozy area to keep the party going.
The table in the cockpit retracts to form a large sun bathing area. Below the outer cockpit is a storage garage area that houses an eight foot inflatable dingy. With just the push of a button the cockpit hatch raises giving access to the garage. Below the garage deck is a large access hatch to the engine room. There you will find a well organized, spacious area to service the engines, generator, batteries, etc.
There is also a very large sun bathing area on the bow of the yacht. Forward of the sun pad is the anchor windlass and locker. Within the locker is a remote control used to raise and lower the anchor. A second windless control is also available on the dash board at the internal helm.
This yacht is perfect for a family or two couples to take off to the Bahamas and get there quickly and in style while not consuming a lot of fuel. She is easy to handle and a joy to ride on. All heads will turn when you pull up to the dock in this Prestige 440S.
After a hugely successful first year, the Prestige 440s now boasts two new concepts recently unveiled by Jeanneau.
The Double Cockpit
Two quite distinct cockpit spaces, an aft cockpit that converts into a sundeck and a tender garage, add up to an amazing amount of comfort and space whether alongside or underway.
The Electric Aft Window
A generously-glazed sportop (with large electric roof) that converts in seconds to a closed space protected from the elements. This feature, previously unthinkable on a boat of under 50-60 feet, opens up a new world of options underway and in port.
Volvo for the IPS transmission systems, V. Garroni Designers for the yacht exterior and interior design, and Michael Peters for the hull, and Jeanneau Design for the general design work: the involvement of these world-renowned names reflects the power of Jeanneau to attract the very best talent to work together on its projects.
The impressive level of visual and practical integration built into the Prestige 440s is sure to give new impetus to Jeanneau's commitment to conquering new markets.

Because in a boat of this size, a harmoniously balanced distribution of space permits each cabin to have its own head and shower (for complete privacy), and affords generous space for each living area.
The large centre cabin (4m x 2m) with an island berth, a private head and shower, a vanity, a hanging locker and a full-sized window in the hull is remarkably spacious and bright.
The forward cabin with an island berth, private head and shower, hanging lockers and nightstands also includes an impressive private walk-in closet (with plenty of headroom).
The salon, which measures over 2 meters long (2.40 m) and transforms into a double berth, is bathed in light (large skylight). Its inviting U-shaped layout was designed for maximum comfort.
Two very spacious cockpit saloons with a comfortable sofa (a Jeanneau characteristic). Two large sundecks (on the forward deck and instead of the aft convertible cockpit). Two wide and comfortable sideways (the starboard sideway is larger).
THE FAMOUS ELECTRIC SLIDING GLASS PARTITION FOR THE SPORT TOP; THIS ELECTRIC WINDOW OFFERS THE POSSIBILITY TO TRANSFORM THE SPORT TOP FROM A CLOSE AREA TO A FULL OPENING SPACE IN A FEW SECONDS. ADDING THIS EQUIPMENT TO THE NEW DOUBLE COCKPIT ON THE PRESTIGE 440S REPRESENT AN INTENSE LEVEL OF COMFORT AND A TOTALLY NEW CONCEPT.
