Here is the story of Tecumseh: she was originally named Tecumseh and was on a small lake in Texas; her next owner named her “Beach House On the Moon” however there is no evidence that name was ever on the transom (how would it fit?)  HIN: WDSXX030A010  IL 9700KX

 

 

 

Owner # 2 had her up in the Harbor Springs/Charlevoix area.  The original flag blue gelcoat has aged some however with a good wash/buff & wax she doesn’t look bad at all.  Her decks are in excellent condition, white with non-skid in very good shape.  She doesn’t look like she has been sailed all that hard.  The VC-17 anti-fouling bottom is perfect.  She doesn’t appear to ever have had any drama: groundings, collisions, etc.  Owner says she has always been in heated indoor storage (since she left Texas) except for this winter in unheated building.   

 

 

 

The overall maintenance looks good inside and out; engine very clean. Yanmar inboard 2YM-15 diesel with 2 blade folding prop on saildrive; Tecumseh hasn’t been in use the last two summers so Yanmar should have a thorough going-over by Crowleys certified marine diesel mechanics.  Owner thinks fuel tank is ~ 12 gallons.  No hr meter but given small lake in Texas and daysailing off upper Lake Michigan one would guess under 500; needs a new Yanmar ignition panel $160 + install.  

 

 

 

The dimensions are: LOA 26’9”; 21’6” waterline; 5’0 draft; 8’ beam; 5,200 displ. with 1,900 ballast. Standard interior layout with two settee berths and vee berth, Sunbrella fabric cushions in very good condition. sitting headroom; marine head with holding tank; Lewmar forward hatch and 4 stainless steel opening portlights; Icebox; no cooking stove.

 

 

 

Bow pulpit (no lifelines or stern rail). Electrical system including AC and DC panels with marine battery charger; needs new batteries.  No VHF radio or GPS; the Raymarine electronics arent working (although they probably could be); owners reports the tiller-pilot does work. Danforth anchor with 100’ rode.  All manuals.

 

 

 

LeisureFurl in-boom mainsail furling system with like new carbon mainsail in exc condition; tiller extension;  roller furling jib with Hoyt self-tacking jib boom on Shaefer furling unit; 2010 Asym spinnaker in new condition; Anderson two-speed ST winches; swim ladder, retractable sprit. No cradle or trailer.
