Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Built to MCA Category 2 standards.
• Composite development, moulded from female tools developed by Oyster in their own custom facility.
• Moulded using a combination of vinylester and polyester resin with the outer topside finish in a white NPG gelcoat.
• The laminate material comprises a combination of E-Glass, Kevlar and Carbon Fibre.
• The topside laminate incorporates a high-tech, balsa-cored, E-Glass/Carbon sandwich above the waterline.

Description of layout from forwards:

 

There is a double VIP cabin forward with masses of storage and a berth with the headboard on the forward bulkhead. This cabin shares a heads compartment with separate shower stall with the upper and lower cabin aft of it. There is access to both cabins and the heads compartment via a centerline corridor, which leads into the main saloon.

 

The mast is keel stepped in the corridor and the main saloon has a large U shaped seating area to port and a sofa to starboard. Behind the sofa is a retractable TV. The navigation station is of ample size and is aft of the soft. Behind this is an upper and lower berth cabin, which is ideal for crew if needed and access into the machine room. To port there is a large linear galley with large cooker, microwave and lots of refrigeration and storage. It is a perfect place in which to cook when you are on passage.

 

Aft of the galley is access to the Owners’ stateroom with a large centerline double Berthon, sofa, masses of natural light and storage and a large en-suite heads with separate shower stall.

 

Forward Double Cabin:

• Double berth offset from centerline with 2 draws beneath.

• Cockpit is self-draining through outlets. Two outlets are sited within a deep box at the forward end of the cockpit. This box has a hinged lid and receives the permanently installed, sliding acrylic washboard for the main companionway. It can also be useful to stow rope tails out of the cockpit.
• Twin cockpit steering positions each feature custom-designed Oyster lectern-style pedestal top with grey faced instrument panels, mounted on a GRP moulded base. A remote panel is fitted for operation of the backstay and vang rams.
• The twin wheels are hide covered – the covers were replaced 2021.
• Twin direction positions and helm chairs with stainless steel upholstered backrests (new 2021).
• Under each helm chair a hinged GRP lid allows access to a useful safe.
• Between the two helm chairs a central walkway and steps aft.

• Large fold down companionway sprayhood in ‘Dune’ acrylic, incorporating see-through panels in the forward seaportion and with leather covered stainless steel grabrail to aft end.
• Bimini in ‘Dune’ acrylic with gustow for boom beam and Velcro cover, plus fixtures and storage bag.
• Cockpit desk cover in ‘Dune’ acrylic, with mesh storage pockets and two Velcro flaps to allow access to the insulated box.
