Telefonica Black was designed by Farr Yacht Design and built in carbon fibre with a canting keel by Southern Ocean Shipyards in New Zealand for the 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race.
She finished 6th overall, winning the last leg of the race and was placed in three of the other legs, frequently sailing 500 mile days.
The present owners, who operate a race charter and team building business have owned her since 2015 since when she has competed in several RORC offshore races and other regattas in Europe and the Caribbean and has crossed the Atlantic numerous times.
This year she competed in the RORC Fastnet and Middle Sea Races and the ARC Racing Division. She has bookings for the 2022 Caribbean Regatta circuit including the RORC Caribbean 600, Heineken St Maarten and Antigua Sailing Week.
She has a 75hp diesel engine, an extensive sail wardrobe and a full complement of electronics, sat comms and safety equipment, diesel generator and watermaker.
Currently sailing back to Europe and is available immediately along with the charter bookings or she can be delivered by arrangement in the summer.
The business and charter bookings are available by separate negotiation.
