Mohini is an ocean-capable, self-sufficient eco cruiser that is equipped beyond most other similarly-sized boats while providing living space that exceeds many larger boats. This Island Spirit is self-sufficient with "green" 1600w solar and wind power generation stored in a 900ah lithium battery bank with inverter to allow not just 12v devices but 120v devices to operate throughout the boat. All that power allowed her to be upgraded with two refrigerators, dedicated freezer, high-capacity water maker, clothing washer and air conditioner. Mohini gives you the freedom to have these features without being connected to a marina or requiring the noise and odor of a diesel power generator. Cruise in style with the comforts of home with popular “owner’s edition” layout with a master suite throughout the starboard hull, a second queen berth, a third berth that can be converted into a workshop or office, two bathrooms, a dedicated shower, and a chef-friendly kitchen. The saloon space is clean, uncluttered, and without doubt one of the most spacious of any catamaran of this size.
Mohini is an “Owner Edition” and the entire starboard hull is for the owner including: cabin, dressing area, reading desk, bathroom, dedicated shower room, and laundry. The port hull has a second cabin, another bathroom and something special – a third cabin that can be converted from having a v-berth bed to a workshop or office (complete with 120v power).
Wide bottom steps on the sugar scoops with space for both divers and equipment provide ample room for easy swim-on or step-on access to either side of the open-layout cockpit. Boosting 7+ foot clearance to the hard bimini top, even your taller guest will appreciate not having to duck or crouch as they enter the cockpit. The port side sugar scoop features hot and cold freshwater shower and swim ladder.
Moving from the cockpit thru bi-fold glass doors and across the low threshold, you enter the salon which comfortably seats 6-8. The U-shaped up-galley, located on the port side of the salon, offers two sinks facing aft, a three-burner stove and oven to port with plenty of ventilation keeping the chef cool and happy. A large counter-top with elevated serving shelf sit atop the 4.2 cu ft refrigerator and deep pantry. A separate 3.8 cu ft, 3-drawer freezer offers compartmentalized access without losing its cool. Across from the galley on the starboard side facing aft resides the navigation station with ample counter space, storage bin and yet another dedicated refrigerator that has been installed underneath – allowing ample storage for cold beverages without compromising food storage capacity. Storage abounds throughout – even including a drawer for charts or place mats.
To the aft in the starboard hull, a queen-sized bed offers privacy and comfort with an office mid-ship and storage lockers throughout the hall. Continuing forward, a separate full-size shower separates the quiet flush head from the utility room which houses the clothing washer and water maker.
The port hull contains a queen-size extended berth to the aft with a built-in dresser. To the outside of hall leading forward, a separate head compartment offers privacy and convenience without obstruction. Forward lies the third berth, an extended twin “V” berth with spacious storage area that can be converted to a work room complete with 120v outlet.
