2000 Mainship Pilot 309m

Waves of Change is new to the market and in exceptional condition.  Her low hour Yanmar Diesel engine makes for an economical cruise at 14kts.  This model stands out from the rest of her fleet with the Hardtop and semi-enclosed helm and bridge deck.

Whether the purpose is to fish, dive or cruise, this Pilot 30 can fit the bill. The elongated cockpit allows for plenty of anglers, and the wide covering boards will accept a battalion of rod holders. The bridgedeck settees will double as extra bunks for the overflow of family and friends or as just a great place to tune up a tan. In the cabin, large V-berths double as a dinette and the mid-seats provide a great place to relax with a good book. The teak trimmed galley comes complete with a two-burner range, a refrigerator, a sink and even an icebox. Storage is plentiful, while light and ventilation is provided by six screened portlights and an overhead hatch. The large head boasts a Corian counter, an electric toilet and an integral shower, plus dry storage and a mirror. The single diesel will propel the Pilot 30 at a pleasant turn of speed while providing a truly economical rate of consumption. The wood-free exterior makes cleaning and maintenance a cinch. The Pilot 30 is ergonomically designed to give the captain an excellent vantage point to observe surroundings and to pilot in safety. 

The Mainship Pilot 30 is at home on the Chesapeake as well as in the Bahamas or the San Juan Islands. The full protection of the sand shoe design allows for beaching and running in shallow water. The tilt-out helm station offers plenty of space to accept all kinds of electronics (including an optional bow-thruster keypad). Sliding helm and companion seats make the cruising even more comfortable.

• Installed Radar

December 2020 – April, 2021

• Replaced two windshield wiper motor
• Re caulked inside Wheelhouse joints
• Replaced engine start/stop Solenoid
• Replaced all outside (below surface) Anodes (NOTE – should be done every year)
• Did regular maintenance on stuffing box
• Replaced the broken sea strainer basket on the main engine,
• Repaired low oil engine shut down alarm (oil pressure switch)
• Replaced Battery #3

 Spring 2021

•  Replaced the other 2 batteries (all 3 are AGM batteries)
• Replaced Water Pump
• Cleaned Heat Exchanger which was partially clogged
• Changed name on the stern of the boat
• Installed all new zincs (pencil zincs in engine, bow thruster, prop shaft, rudder, trim planes, and swim platform supports) the large zinc on the transom was not bad so did not replace
• Cleaned and waxed hull, and the outside of the wheelhouse and decking
• Installed second hand-hold bar coming up from below
