Don't miss this unique opportunity to own a beautiful downeast style yacht at a great price. The Legacy 40 Express is a very comfortable cruiser designed by Mark Ellis of sailboat and powerboat fame. Her sharp entry on the bow parts the waves and she has a V-bottom with wide chine flats, lifting strakes, and a skeg- which lifts the hull up onto plane at only 12 knots and provides for a very soft and comfortable ride. Her hull design is very efficient in terms of speed and fuel consumption. Roll is minimized and the boat tracks well. Scherzo burns 22.6 gallons of fuel per hour at 21.4 knots cruising speed. Sound insulation package consists of baffling, foam, and lead shielding. This is a one owner boat.
A single piece companionway door to port access the steps down below. To starboard, there is a curved settee with a dual height table (dining or cocktail height). A well-appointed galley is to port with a refrigerator, oven, stove and double stainless sinks. The forward stateroom has a custom, extra-large double berth with storage beneath and two hanging lockers. The roomy head is just aft on the port side and has entryways from both the forward stateroom and the salon. The vessel sleeps 4 comfortably as the dinette converts to a double.
Nicely appointed galley with teak cabinets and ample storage.
Very roomy interior with beautiful teak and holly sole.
Nicely appointed master with privacy door. Features a customized, extra large island double berth.
