In 2006 Serenity underwent a major renovation which included: new conversion from gas to diesel engines, new generator, fuel polishing and oil change systems, re-engineering of engine room to include new stringers, Sound Down brand insulation, hoses, fuel lines, props, shafts, additional intermediate strut added, electronics, appliances, flybridge cushions, windlass and more.
In addition, she is several knots faster and more economical to operate that other 50' Carver motor yachts.

This cockpit MY has one of the best layouts of any build. The enclosed aft deck has a full bar with icemaker, refrigerator and sink. The flybridge has one of the most user-friendly helms produced, with excellent 360 degree visibility. There is also bench seating forward of the helm for guests.
The salon is open with a large U-shaped settee forward. This settee has excellent visibility through the wrap-around windows over the fore deck, which extend to both sides to the main deck area. The galley is in the port aft area with standing refrigerator, lighted surface stove, microwave oven, sink, and storage over and under the forward counter.
The guest VIP stateroom is located all the way forward with a walk-around queen berth. There is a full size island berth located centerline with ensuite entrance to a large head with bath, shower, sink, lighted vanity with storage, and toilet. On the port side of this state room is the opening partition to the guest stateroom.
The guest stateroom is located to port with an over-under bunk arrangement. This stateroom has a flexible partition which allows this stateroom to be converted to a couch, opening to the VIP forward.
The master stateroom is located aft. This stateroom features a large queen berth located centerline and facing aft with visibility out to the cockpit through sliding doors. There are storage drawers, a hanging locker, and TV entertainment center to port. The starboard side of this stateroom features double doors to the master head. There is a shower, toilet room, and lighted vanity with sink and storage in this area.
The engine room is accessed under the staircase in the forward companionway. There is absolutely no comparison to the refit which has been undertaken here, converting this yacht from gasoline power to diesel.
The aft deck is open and spacious with a table, casual chairs and a unit on the bulk head that houses a refrigerator, icemaker, wet bar with sink and Corian countertops. There is a molded fiberglass hardtop overhead with recessed lighting, stereo speakers, and sliding acrylic panels and wing doors.
