Heart of Gold has benefited from many upgrades like all chain plates being replaced, all New electronics including Auto Pilot, Chart Plotter, Radar, Air Conditioning,  Bimini/Dodger, New Heads, New Holding tank and sanitation hoses, New Swim Platform, New Mack Pack, New Mattress, New LED lighting, New Stove, New Refrigeration, Solar Panels, Wind generator, Fuel tank cleaned and fuel polished, New Spinlock rope clutches, Line bags and the list goes on.  I think it would be difficult to find a vessel that is this ready to go with so much newer equipment. She will provide you with years of trouble free sailing.

The Island Packet 45 replaced the Island Packet 44 model and was produced from 1996 to 2000.  It is the culmination of many of the great aspects of the Island Packet line, which has made it so popular, with cruisers, over the years.  This is hull number 12 of 44 hulls built and has continued to benefit from her loving owners care with constant maintenance and upgrades. 

Heart of Gold has had three very experienced and knowledgeable owners and each has kept her up to date and in excellent condition. 

Starting forward there is the owner's private head.  Going aft to Starboard is the double Pullman berth and hanging lockers and storage to port.  Then there is the roomy main salon.  Aft of that on the starboard side is the Nav station.  On the port side near the companion way is the aft head with the Galley directly across on the starboard side. All the way aft on the port side is the double guest cabin.  The large cockpit will accommodate a large group and is long enough to sleep two people and has ample storage in the large lazarette.

In the Summer of 2015 a vessel, docked nearby, was hit by lighting which effected much of Heart of Gold's electronics and therefore required replacing.  The Electronics Pod, at the Helm, is one of the best that I have seen as it has a very low profile and the Helmsperson can easily see over it while sitting at the Helm seat.
