The CM 1200 is a great example of a forty-foot boat that is capable of winning on offshore courses as well as inshore courses. The boats are easy to handle for the novice crew but still offer the performance that a more experienced crew would look for. The Cm 1200 offers less displacement and more stability than other yachts in her size range with a much more powerful sail plan. This boat will perform well in all conditions. Keel modification:
Shortened 16" which removed 1,300# a Melges 30 lead bulb was thru-bolted to the existing fin with two 1" high strength bolts. bulb weight is 1,600# to maintain the same righting moment. The keel and bulb were in a jig to maintain parallelism and perpendicular dimensions. Bolt handles excellently with this upgrade.

The engine is a Yanmar 3gm30f; it has been maintained annually with oil changes and fuel filter changes. No problems.

Saildrive is a Yanmar SD-20; gear lube changes annually along with new anodes annually. Propeller shaft seals will be replaced by spring of 2023.

Custom carbon boom with ladder rack for ease of mainsail handling.

Aluminum rig; The original spar was broken and replaced with a Hall Spars Tripp 40 rig. All new Halyards, runners and Back stay at the same time.

Electronics; B&G Triton 2, new in 2020, Wind Speed Depth. 9" B&G Vulcan Chartplotter with AIS Class "B" Transceiver along with VHF radio.

Sails:
Main is new Took delivery 7/2021. Ullman carbon.
#2 New 2019 has been used half a dozen times at best. Perfect condition. Unsure on Brand
#1 and #3 New in 2019. In great Shape. Ullman
A2 Kite New in 2018 only used for Hook and 100 milers. Perfect condition. North
A1 Kite good condition, Unsure on year. North
A4 .5 poly VMG unsure of year. North
A4 .75 poly heavy, unsure of year. North

All kites and head sails are Fractional.

There is a 2nd main that is in good condition as well. Quantum. Not sure of the year.
There is #1 north, # 3 quantum, #2 Quantum, #4 Quantum for headsails, average condition. Fine for beer can and cruising/delivery.
