She is an Atlantic 61, which is a Greek Built Yacht, constructed in 1990. She is a spacious and welcoming yacht with every potential to make a family or charter business very happy!
Under the previous owners, she was used for Charters in Greece and was under the class of Lloyd’s Register. Wessel P is currently registered in Vanuatu, however VAT paid in Portugal.
Interior/exterior area overview
With 4 main double cabins, and 1 crew cabin forward she can easily accommodate 10 adults with 2 further bunks in the two forward cabins. There are a further two bunks in the ‘crew’ cabin forward. Each cabin having its own bathroom, will full amenities; shower, toilet and sink.
The main saloon is a very spacious area for dining, socialising and relaxing. With a fully sized kitchenette area, with full equipment; oven, gas top stove, microwave, built-in fridge. It leaves little to be desired when entertaining or simply relaxing with friends and family on board. Outside there is a large seating area with a cool box built into the table – perfect for entertaining!
A full overhaul of the main engine, a Ford 2725E 130hp 6.2L, has recently been completed at 2500 running hours this beast has many hours left to run! Additionally, the engine mounts were replaced, shaft re-aligned and alternators replaced, 12v & 24v, shaft seal and bearings replaced, Engine room reinsulated.
All seacocks inspected – 2 replaced.
All tanks on-board stripped and cleaned
A brand-new swimming platform fitted on the stern.
Generator is a 13.5 KVA, Onan Marine Genset (13.5MDKAZ). This is a Kabuto block in good working condition. Service has just been completed.
The sails are in great condition. The yacht has only been used to Greece to Portugal before being lifted out and placed on a hardstand in Portimao, Portugal.
She also comes with a lazy sail bag on the boom – which is very handy to drop the main.
Dinghy is an older inflatable with a ply wood floor. It comes with a 2.3hp Honda engine.
We purchased the yacht in 2012 with the goal of sailing her back home to Vanuatu. Unfortunately my father passed away shortly after the purchase, and he was the main person driving this adventure. Since then, many plans have been made for Wessel P, but work keeps getting in the way for me. Therefore, I have decided to sell her onto someone who will be able to get much more enjoyment out of her.
She is currently on the hardstand in Portimao, Portugal. This is a fantastic place to have work done for a reasonable price. This really is a yacht with a lot of life left in her and a lot of ocean left to sail!
I would like to sell Wessel P in a ‘as is’ condition.
