Designed by Michael McCreary, N.A. for Caliber Yachts, the 28 is an efficient cruiser with room, comfort and traditional lines. "Sunshine Lady’s" rich teak interior offers 6’ headroom and comfortable accommodations for dockside life and cruising destinations.
From her 10’ 10” beam with wide side decks, her well laid out cockpit with even a convenient cockpit ice box, to her custom stern rail seats, comfortable cruising is the rule.
A Sea-Furl roller furling makes sail handling easy and all lines are led aft for added convenience. An Autohelm 3000 at the wheel and Lewmar traveler make shorthanded sailing a breeze. Well cared for, Sunshine Lady is ready to sail and has just been professionally detailed. She’s always been in Lake Erie’s fresh water.
Descending from the companionway you immediately notice a rich teak paneled interior. The “L” shaped galley is to port. It features a S/S sink w/pressurized water large ice box then an Origo alcohol stove. There is plenty of storage for dry goods and dishware in convenient compartments with sliding doors and 2 opening doors in the base cabinet.
The electric panel is located above the ice box aft. The VHF is located above the sink within easy reach of the cockpit.
A nav station shelf is next on the port side of the salon. A long upholstered settee with shelves above extends to the bulkhead that separated the salon from the head & V-berth. A dining table folds to the bulkhead when not in use and covers a handy wine rack and storage area.
Through the bulkhead is the enclosed head with marine toilet to port and vanity and storage to starboard.
The V-berth has drawer storage below and plenty of shelf space forward and to each side.
