Forward the Galley is ahead of the Dinette, but uniquely a hanging locker and long counter with lockers beneath and outboard are fore and aft aligned to Starboard; a second toploading refrigerated ice box is at the forward end before the forward head compartment.
LIONS SHADE has a powerful sail plan with a Sail Pak, fully battened Main & Mizzen Sail. Batt Cars on the Main and Harken furlers for the head sails make it all easy to handle.

In the Port forward corner is the head compartment with toilet and sink and lockers; a stall shower with teak seat and tiled floor is in the corresponding corner to Starboard, each has an opening portlight. Up 2 steps and forward is the Pilothouse which is notable and characteristic of all Nauticats in design where one has level sightlines, seated or standing from all perspectives. The helm is Centerline with large chart table to Port and lots of chart storage beneath it..Electronics are sited here and instrumentation is arrayed in the eyebrow above. An L-shaped, converting settee is in the aft Port corner and a single settee opposite to Starboard.
There are Opening Pilothouse doors, Port & Starboard, a large Sliding hatch overhead and 2 opening portlights aft; plenty of light & ventilation.
Down 2 steps and forward is the main saloon with a large U-shaped berth and teak dinette table arranged to Port. Opposite is a large hanging locker and a fore aft arranged counter and lockers running down the Starboard side. at the forward end of this counter is a refrigerated ice box.
