Morgan Yachts had a long history of building some of the finest quality yachts in the world before being bought by Catalina Yachts in 1985. This 1984 Morgan 384 was one of the last and best Morgan Yachts built before the company was sold to Catalina Yachts.
Morgan Yachts incorporated old world craftsmanship with state of the art design and construction to build an extremely robust yacht that sails exceptionally well and has outstanding accommodations. The Morgan 384 is one of the best examples of this commitment to performance, quality, comfort and safety.
Morgan hulls and decks were all hand laid laminates. There wasn't a chopper gun in the factory. The result was a stronger, lighter boat that performed will in light winds, yet strong enough to take out into blue water.
Over 500 Morgan 383 and 384 models were built. The 384 was the preferred yacht because it had a taller rig, bigger rudder, better ventilation below and the mainsheet traveler was moved from the cockpit to over the companionway hatch.
