Manufacturer Provided Description
At 35 feet the Baltic 35 is the smallest in Baltic's fleet. Big on quality, performance, space, technology and elegance, she leaves no doubt that a Baltic is in a class by itself. An impressive yacht, perfect for cruising or racing, her design and layout make her easy for a family crew to handle, and she is amazingly roomy and comfortable belowdecks. The Baltic 35 is an advanced design. The fine waterline guarantees speed to windward, even in choppy seas. Special care has been taken to design the section and distribution of displacement to optimize performance and handling characteristics. The Baltic teak deck is built to last and is available as an option. On a Baltic the teak deck is part of the deck structure itself and is made from the finest, carefully selected teak. The Baltic 35 is also synonymous with space and comfort. The maximum beam allows room for the luxurious style of interior usually found on larger yachts, and even at the stern she is 7-feet 6-inches wide, so that the cockpit is really spacious. The hull is balsa core fiberglass using fiberglass mat, unidirectional roving and mat roving combination to develop an extremely rigid yet light and well-insulated structure. In comparison with conventional GRP lay-up, the sandwich construction combined with the use of high grade unidirectional roving is 40 per cent lighter and results in 150 per cent higher panel rigidity. There are also increases in strength and insulation. High stress areas are specially strengthened with unidirectional roving oriented in the direction of the stress. The hull of every Baltic yacht has a three-year guarantee. The external fin keel, cast to high accuracy in lead with added antimony, is throughbolted to the hull by keel bolts in stainless-steel.
