NEW LISTING - PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION
The Vancouver 27 was designed by Robert Harris for a couple who wanted a compact, easy to handle yacht to sail from Vancouver to New Zealand. Having proved herself in the Pacific Ocean the design was taken up by Pheon yachts as a safe, easy to handle cruising yacht.
"Kate" has safely carried her present owners north as far as Bergen and south to Portugal with frequent trips to Brittany and the Outer Hebrides, several Biscay crossings, two of which were singlehanded. She has introduced grandchildren to sailing and was used in the present owner’s work as a sailing author. She takes long passages in her stride and inspires confidence in ocean swells or North Sea gales. She is a serious yacht yet she is easy to handle, steady and predictable for fun family sailing.
