The 53' Canoe Cove, a popular and well proven Pacific North West design. 53 Canoe Coves were built here on the coast and were found in commercial, charter, and the pleasurecraft environment all over North America. These modified V hulls with a modest beam and shallow keel are great all round performers, which are well suited for our North West waters. Canoe Cove offered a few different cabin configurations and would create semi custom versions . This particular version, is a long one level salon, three cabins, two heads, large cockpit, and huge flybridge deck, it is called the Sports Sedan. There were a numer of engine options back in the day, but the twin Detroit 671TI engines were a premium option which provided the HP and logevity well suited for a quality boat.
This vessel had spent much of its life in fresh water, with evidence of knowlegeable use and care. Recently the vessel has been going through a period of maintenance and renewal which has created an opportunity to purchase an unspoiled classic 53 Canoe Cove that is in great shape and is ready to cover some miles.

Decks:
Cockpit - Access to the cockpit is from the well supported swim paltform surrounded by tall railings and fitted with a swim ladder. Passing through an inward swinging, port side, transom door you will step into the large covered and enclosed cockpit area. From here there is a stairway to the bridge and double sliding door to the main cabin. This is a great all weather and multi use space with a number of storage compartments. The hardtop over the cockpit is well done and provides unparalled protection for the space.
Bridge Deck/Flybridge - There is a very well done sliding overhead hatch that opens and allows one to easily walk up the stairway to the Flybridge. On the Flybridge you will find an impressive ammount of open uncluttered space, with room for a good size tender. The chocks and davit is already in place. Going forward you will find the bridge is fitted with port and starboard double seats that convert to single sleepers, a center helm seat, all covered by a quality Bimini. The controls and helm are in good shape and the position provides great visibilty.
Foredeck - The foredeck is accessed from either port or starboard by decent width walkways accessed from the cockpit, or from Port helm sliding door. There is a good height solid continuous bow and side rail for good protection when going forward. The foredeck is a flat raised cabin trunk and continued side decks leading to a spacious area around the windlass, nicely finished with nonskid gelcoat.
