NOT A PERFECT BOAT, BUT DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING MAJOR. IF YOU WANT THE LIST OF LITTLE THINGS ON OUR RADAR, SEE FULL SPECS.
The Pearson 365 was designed by legendary naval architect Bill Shaw. Bill Shaw had a practical appreciation for sailboats, designing boats with traditional lines capable of cruising chest-deep coastal waters and crossing the open sea.
The Pearson 365 was built from 1976-1982. A total of 405 hulls were completed and S/V Aquarius is hull #201.
S/V Aquarius has less than 1200 hours on her Westerbeke 40-hp Diesel Engine!
S/V Aquarius is equipped with an electric windlass as well.
Although a few P-365 were designed as sloops, cutters or pilothouse models, the vast majority were designed with ketch rigs. S/V Aquarius is a sloop rig with in-mast furling and a relatively new set of sails (2011- new Endurance Mainsail, new Endurance 135% furling Genoa, and new Storm Jib from Evolution/Ullman Sails). The P-365 features a shoal draft fin keel with a skeg-hung rudder. Draft is just 4'6''.
The Pearson 365 is a proven comfortable liveaboard and cruising vessel packed with spacious accommodations below, ample stowage, and room leftover to add any of the creature comforts one might desire. This strong and seaworthy bluewater vessel is well known for sailing from Canada to the Bahamas and beyond.
S/V Aquarius is ready for her next captain and a few small projects to make her ready for her next voyage. She is not a project boat, but a few systems will require attention as she changes hands. She's a very clean vessel with minor attention needed and she shows very well. She was recently relocated to a wet-slip at Regent Point Marina and her engine and all of her major systems worked great.
