**** AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A CLASSIC CHRIS CRAFT AT A GREAT PRICE ****
SEA CHANGES is a classic Chris-Craft "Woodie," SEA CHANGES is a seaworthy coastal cruiser and has been through the Panama Canal and cruised to Alaska.
She has been extensively and thoughtfully updated from stem to stern. A review of this description, including the summary of updates will assure prospective buyers this is a yacht worthy of consideration.
Unlike the production Roamer and Constellation models, there were only 12 of these semi-custom, heavily-built, raised pilothouse motoryachts built at the Chris Craft factory in Pompano Beach Florida. This vessel, unlike Chris-Craft’s production models, offers three discreet spaces for the enclosed aft-deck, salon, and raised pilot house. For large gatherings, this thoughtful design keeps distractions in the helm to a minimum while maximizing socializing and relaxing in the other spaces.
The aft-deck has been fitted 11 windows, 9 clear acrylic that open & close and 2 curved poly-carbonate clear windows.
The remodeled salon has been designed with an eye to enhance comfort, functionality and storage capacity. Redesigned to include a tasteful built-in L-shaped sitting/lounging sofa with overhead mahogany cabinets and large sliding mahogany drawers underneath. This sofa was designed to stretch out and put up your feet. Additional Honduran mahogany drawers and cupboards have been seamlessly designed into the walls of this salon to store whatever you wish.
SEA CHANGES features four staterooms with one that has been remodeled as an office with richly varnished mahogany file-width drawers and slide out desk that neatly nestles under a high-bunk day berth. The master stateroom was redesigned for a walk-around queen bed with storage underneath and two 7-foot long hanging closets. There are two guest heads and a private master head with stall shower. If you are looking for a bay or coastal cruiser, entertaining, or a very comfortable live-aboard, SEA CHANGES is a must see vessel.
SEA CHANGES has accommodations for seven in four staterooms. Access to the owner and 2 guest staterooms is aft from the main salon down a few steps to a curved stairway. Forward from the main salon is the pilot house and down a few steps is the galley and eating/sitting area, with the jacuzzi tub and fourth stateroom forward of the galley.
The full-width MASTER STATEROOM is all the way aft and furnished with a centerline queen bed. There are bulkhead mounted reading lamps above the berth and opening portlights outboard. The stateroom finish is beautiful mahogany. Mahogany fiddles highlight the top of the bureau while curtain treatments over the portlights enable privacy. There is a private head ensuite with a stall shower.
The first GUEST STATEROOM is forward to starboard with a large single berths, also finished in mahogany. There are abundant built-in drawers and a closet for storage.
Opposite the companionway to starboard is a second HEAD and stall shower. Additional storage can be found in the hallway, as well as a built-in ironing board.
The second GUEST STATEROOM is located forward to port with a single berth that pulls out to make a double bed. It is furnished with closets and drawers for storage and finished in mahogany.
The third GUEST STATEROOM or Crew Stateroom is located all the way forward (of the pilot house, galley and fore-mid compartment) and is accessed from the galley area. It is furnished with a large single berth to port, large settee to starboard and closets and drawers. This stateroom has its own ensuite HEAD and shower.
MAIN SALOON
From the pilothouse, a 3 step stairway to starboard leads up to the main salon area which is paneled in natural finished mahogany and furnished with a built in L shaped settee that is designed for relaxing. On the port side of the saloon, there is a table that can be used for eating or relaxing. There is plentiful storage outboard to port and starboard as well as in overhead cabinets forward. Sliding windows to port and starboard provide natural lighting and are also furnished with window treatments to match/compliment the salon upholstery.
AFTER DECK
The full width after deck has beautiful teak decks. White painted weatherboards surround the aft deck with crystal clear polycarbonate, curved and opening windows (9), allowing for clear views of the outside and all-weather enjoyment of the aft deck.
PILOTHOUSE
The pilothouse is just forward of the saloon and affords excellent visibility. The side windows can be opened for ventilation. The pilot house has plentiful built-in storage cabinets and a nice nav area with ship's computer. The sole is teak with carpet over the teak decking.
GALLEY
This mid-level country kitchen design galley is located forward of the main salon and pilot house with large windows on 3 sides, affording unparalleled viewing while cooking. There is a C-shaped counter with inset double stainless sinks to port with filtered water and instant hot dispenser. There is abundant storage above and below the countertop and a dishwasher under the forward counter. The 3 burner Dickinson stove is mounted against the aft bulkhead.
The two door refrigerator/freezer is along the starboard side with additional storage and a single seat and overhead wine glass storage.
A built-in dinette/settee with sliding table top is located forward with seating for 4 persons.
Galley Appliances
FORE-MID COMPARTMENT
The Fore-Mid Compartment is located dow 3 steps and forward of the galley and is finished in mahogany. There is a half-size refrigerator and Splendide washer/drier.
There is a full size Jacuzzi tub with shower for your pleasure after a hard day.
MAIN DECK
All decks are reefed & caulked and sealed with epoxy, elastomeric membrane, non-skid and top-side paint.
Starting all the way forward, the foredeck is equipped with port and starboard fiberglass propane boxes with 2 aluminum propane tanks and a heavy duty Muir Thor 12v anchor windlass with an 88 lb Delta anchor on stainless steel rollers. On the forward end of the trunk cabin is a built-in full width bow seat with a canvas cover, upholstered cushions and additional storage beneath.
The entire foredeck and side decks are protected by varnished teak cap rails mounted on stainless steel stanchions and connected by vinyl clad stainless steel lifelines. At the bow, these railings terminate at the polished stainless steel bow rail/anchor pulpit. The port and starboard side decks lead aft to the wing doors which open to the aft deck.
ENGINE ROOM
The full width, stand up engine room is beneath the main salon sole and accessed from forward of the galley area. There is a separate full width workshop/equipment area forward of the engine room that houses the Kabola heater, electrical components and tool chests. The generator is NOT operational.
