The 45 Center Cockpit is a breakthrough boat that defines a Hunter center cockpit cruisier. It combines all the comforts of a center cockpit cruiser with an exciting European look, surprising performance and great value in a long-range package. The 45 Center Cockpit includes multiple ease of sailing features that have become Hunter trademarks, such as the backstayless B&R rig and cockpit traveler arch. Plus, its sleek lines, wrap-around windshield and low profile make it look great! The 45 Center Cockpit delivers a spectacular master stateroom with 6ft 5in headroom. This cabin pampers its guests with an en suite head, a queen island berth with innerspring mattress, twin nightstands, a moveable dresser, a vanity table with mirror, two cedar-lined hanging lockers and a settee to port. On the 45 Center Cockpit, a gourmet galley, full navigation station, forward VIP stateroom, second head and airy salon fill out this beautiful cruiser.
The first thing you will notice about MAJESTIC 7 is the large and comfortable center cockpit. It has a full enclosure around the cockpit for protection from the sun and the elements. On a nice day, the enclosure's sides can be rolled up to offer a breeze and great visibility.
Entering the yacht from the cockpit there is a wide and accessible companionway ladder with easy hand holds to a beautiful interior. The owner's aft cabin has a walk-around Queen bed, twin nightstands, a moveable dresser, a vanity table with mirror, wall mounted television, two cedar-lined hanging lockers and a settee to port. The ensuite bathroom has an electric head, sink and vanity with high headroom, and a generous separate shower stall.
The passageway to the saloon is also generous in headroom and offers easy access to mechanical compartments through removable veneer panels. The navigation station is very well equipped with a large comfortable "captain's chair" and chart plotter, battery monitor, 12v and 110v panel, etc. The galley is large, has excellent fiddled Corian countertops and modern facilities. All upholstery and veneers on MAJESTIC 7 are still in "like new" condition and the saloon feels spacious and inviting. Headroom throughout the boat is nearly 7ft. The 16,000 BTU air conditioning unit is vented to the aft cabin and saloon. There are sliding screens and shades on all hatches.
The forward V-berth cabin has another Queen bed with ample headroom yet again. It also has an en suite head with sink and vanity and separate tall shower stall. Both heads on MAJESTIC 7 are freshwater electric JABSCO Quiet Flush with holding tank.
There are CAFRAMO fans throughout the boat, all lighting is LED and for entertainment a large flatscreen TV/DVD in the salon. There is also a BOSE music system fitted with surround sound speakers.
The galley is well equipped and comfortable to use with ample counter space. There are two fridge freezers, the 12VDC upright NOVACOOL and the top loading 12 VDC COOLMATIC. A convection microwave is built into the cabinetry which puts it out of the way but easily accessible and it also has a built-in coffee maker. There is a deep double basin stainless steel sink with extendable hot / cold water faucet. A three burner gimbaled propane stove and oven combination by Princess also has an electric vent hood above the cook surfaces.
All electronics (except AIS) were updated in 2013. They include:
The rig is designed by the late Lars Bergstrom and Sven Ridder. It features an in-mast furling mainsail and a conventional furling genoa. The sails are made by Doyle and are in good condition.
The large main, small jib sailplan on these Hunters also eliminates the need for large overlapping headsails, since the driving power comes from the much improved shape and size of the mainsail. This allows for an easier tacking small jib, creating good performance and more comfortable sailing — and less work for the crew. It is far more aerodynamically efficient to reef the main than furl the headsail. Plus it provides better balance from the rig and more control for the rudder.
With the large main creating additional mainsheet and leech loading, Hunter has placed the mainsheet atop a cockpit arch on many models. The mainsheet loads are placed at the same location as the leech loading to reduce the bending loads on the boom. The mainsheet loading is also reduced, allowing for easier control of the mainsail. The arch also serves as a handhold while in the cockpit as well as an attachment point for a Bimini top.
