The Cookson 50 is an exceptional design, not only do you have great performance, but you have a very comfortable interior that can seriously be used as a waterfront weekender. The forward Double Vee berth is very generous in size and there is also an enclosed ensuite (currently setup as a wet hanging locker).
About Time comes with refrigeration, pressurised water system plus a Gas Stove and Oven. This is dual purpose perfection at its best in my opinion.
o Hull and deck are built with carbon fibre E glass with closed cell foam core, under vacuum with epoxy resin.
o Laminated in female mould
Keel: The keel was changed to a fixed keel with all engineering done by Farr Yacht Design and build work by Innovation Composites.
Accommodation: The Port and Starboard aft cabins have two adjustable pipe costs with a fixed bunk and a lee cloth underneath. There are two opening Lewmar ports for ventilation each side. Sail storage on the hull beside the bunks when racing and general storage section on the centre line above the engine bay.
The port and starboard saloon settee areas have two adjustable pipe costs fitted above the fixed settee, there are storage lockers beside the bunks against the hull. The saloon has a removable carbon dinette table.
Note: All the pipe cots are removable. Settee bunks have lee cloths.
The forward section/cabin comprises of a small hanging locker on the port side and some additional storage section (3) forward of it. On the starboard side is an enclosed wet room/hanging locker or easily converted to its intended design of a toilet and basin area.
Galley area: Carbon fibre moulded bench top with double carbon sinks fitted with infill flush carbon covers. Pressure H/C to sink. Hot water system is a GLIND system which works when the motor is running. Storage sections above under the deck and below the bench.
A large refrigerated area is at the aft end of the galley, it has a 12-volt refrigeration system with insulation. The lids are flush fitting carbon fibre finished.
A gas stove and oven gimballed and recessed into the galley; it has a safety stainless steel guard rail around it.
Main Head: Is located port side opposite the galley, it is a good size and is fully enclosed. Toilet is electric and the basin has pressure water. There is a storage unit against the hull and an opening Lewmar port for ventilation.
Navigation area: The generous Nav station is in the port aft cabin. It has generous storage capacity, a large nav table with easy access to switch board and the ships wiring.
