This is your opportunity to own a "piece of Downeast history". The earliest of Downeast powerboats started with this design!
During the prohibition era of the 1920's, successful downeast rumrunners used boats built by -- among others -- the legendary Will Frost. Their wit, and the characteristics of their vessels, allowed them to elude the government's revenue cutters. Rumery's 36 pays homage to these elegant, fast, and seaworthy designs of Will Frost. The sleek lines of the torpedo stern and the sculptural smoothness below the waterline makes the Rumery's 36 an extremely efficient hull form and very easy to push through the water. The hull slices through the water: "As you give it throttle, it goes faster and faster, but there's no wake...it runs cleanly and it never pounds." (Bob Stephens, Brooklin Boat Yard, quoted in WOODENBOAT issue #170 Jan/Feb 2003)
The cockpit U-shaped bench seating for six is dry underway due to the hull designs smooth-thru-the-water ride. The teak decking is an added comfort as that minizeses engine noise allowing for easy conversations in this very social seating arrangement. Storage for deck gear, fenders, two folding chairs etc.. is found below the U-shaped bench seating.
The engine box allows for seating of three and it slides aft to make for easy maintenance.

A beautifully crafted varnished windshield protects the helmsmen from the elements. Due to the hull design their is minimal bow rise while at cruise thus she maintains excellent visibility for the helmsmen. The fuel manifold is an easy reach on the portside of the engine box.
Ascending through the portside companionway ATINA's herreshoff-style interior (white bulkheads and varnished hardwood trim) on to the teak cabin sole you will see the galley to port the head to starboard. Next forward is the 6' long L-shaped settee/berth and forward 6' 8" long V-berth both with reading lamps and storage underneath.
Forward of the L-shaped settee is a head with privacy door and sink vanity.
The portside galley has an insulated below counter icebox, large stainless stink, filtered fresh water and ORIGO microwave. An A/C outlet is conveniently located for a coffee maker etc...
"ATINA has been able to serve us as a day-boat, an weekend boat, a commuter and we have even water-skied off her! Her torpedo stern and narrow entry slices through choppy seas while leaving a minimal wake".
"We have had her professionally maintained and stored in a heated storage facility in the winter months".
