A versatile Marc Lombard design, the Sun Odyssey 35 combines a lively hull shape and spacious interior with an easy to handle sailplan controlled from a comfortable aft cockpit. A nicely sculpted trunkhouse flows naturally from the deck and together with the slight reverse transom. There is no mystery as to why the Sun Odyssey 35 is a spacious boat, both on deck and below-it's a direct result of beam. While the overall beam of 11 feet, 5 inches is not excessive, designer Lombard carries the beam almost all the way aft, creating a wedge-shaped hull high in form stability that also scoots when sailing off the wind.
The all teak interior is sensibly designed. As you descend the companionway the L-shaped galley is to starboard and the spacious head with stall shower is to port. Moving forward on the port side is a wet locker followed by a forward facing navigation station that slides aft to create a single berth out of the port side settee. Across to starboard is a large C-shaped dinette that can be converted to a comfortable double berth for guests. The dinette table can be raised all the way up out of the way to create space. All the way forward is a private stateroom with a large V-berth, dressing seat, a hanging locker and additional storage options. The private owners stateroom is aft of the galley with a queen size berth and a hanging locker.
This 2004 Sun Odyssey has a large L-shaped galley with plenty of storage and counter space. She features twin rectangular stainless steel sinks, Kenmore microwave, ENO two-burner stove and oven and 12-volt cold-plate deep refrigeration. A halogen overhead light is well placed, complimented by a sky light that can be closed with a clever shade.
