ASTRID is an incredibly well maintained Grand Banks 58 Eastbay Flybridge. The 58FB represents the largest Eastbay built by Grand Banks, and is sought out by keen yachtsmen and women looking for a solid, dependable flybridge cruiser with classic downeast lines.
Boarding at her transom, you enter her very large cockpit with classic teak sole and varnished teak trim, aft seating with table, starboard cabinet and port curved staircase with safety handrails to access the flybridge. There is a large lazarette with access through the cockpit sole and large watertight hatch for engine room access.
Enter the salon through her enlarged sliding glass door to find two large settees and a barrel chair, adjustable yacht table with fold-up leaves, large flatscreen TV (with satellite TV) is hidden when not in use and raised by the push of a button from the cabinet aft of the port settee. The straight settee to starboard converts to an additional berth, when needed. The interior cabin soles are vanished teak and holly with custom fit Atlas carpet runners to protect the high traffic areas. The salon is finished with elegant draperies and shades to provide privacy and comfort.
The helm station is forward and to starboard with a STIDD helmseat in front of her navigation station with full electronics, steering wheel and starboard door for easy deck access.
The U-shaped open galley is located to port and positioned a few steps down from the salon to receive natural light from the main deck windows, as well as excellent ventilation from the opening porthole. The galley is appointed with granite countertops, a dual basin stainless steel sink, twin Glacier Marine cold plate units (one freezer, two refrigerators), Miele electric cooktop, GE Advantium microwave oven and KitchenAid trash compactor.
Across from the galley to starboard is a fantastic space that can be used as an additional stateroom with larger queen berth against her hull.
A guest stateroom with side-by-side single berths is located to port, forward of the galley. This stateroom offers a large closet and plenty of storage under the berths. The guest head is across the companionway with stall shower, toilet and vanity.
The master stateroom is forward and features a large, centerline island queen berth, hanging lockers, bureau with storage drawers, overhead hatches for natural light and private en-suite head.
