Rarely do we see a boat of this quality built along traditional lines come on the market. Lady Margaret is custom designed along the lines of a traditional fishing (cray) boat, with an aft wheel house, designed and built in Tasmania from Huon pine and Celery. The majority of the work has been managed by the legendary Bernard Wilson of Triabunna, and the workmanship throughout is truly exceptional. As you step aboard, the traditional ambience of the vessel is immediately evident, as is the quality..
The aft wheel house contains the helm station with full instrumentation, as per a commercial vessel, and also includes a full bathroom in this area. A few easy steps down takes you into the galley area, well designed and laid out with large Huon pine feature table, then the galley with the quality of fit out of a small apartment features a large fridge, and excellent storage.
Access to the accommodation is through the traditional fishing boat style foc'sle hatch, and includes a double guest cabin to starboard, full bathroom to port including shower, and spacious master cabin with large queen sized bed and plenty of timber trims. Another small cabin contains a single berth, washing machine, and doubles up as a large storage area.
On deck there is a large fixed awning providing excellent cover from the mast aft with full clears. The stunning laid timber decks have excellent all-round access with plenty of seating areas to relax at anchor. The vessel is well rigged with Doyle sails, Facnor main sail furler and headsail furler. This vessel is a true motorsailer and performs well under sail. Other items at deck level include the electric pot hauler, liferaft, and dinghy davits.
This vessel is well powered by a 180HP Yanmar diesel providing 8 Knots of very economical cruising. A genset is also fitted providing 240V power, and the access to the engine room to service these items is excellent with full walk around space
This is a rare opportunity to acquire what is truely a magnificent vessel. For more information please call John Radonic on 0459322862
