The Ocean 52 Super Sport is a true blend of a smooth and dry ride and an exceptionally roomy interior. Designed by Naval Architect David Martin, this model blows away the competitors with her 3 Stateroom 3 Head layout, expansive flybridge seating area, refined teak interior cabinetry and large cockpit that is perfect for cruising or chasing the big bite.
This is a big takeaway for this model, written by Dean Clarke of Marlin Magazine:
"So if you have your heart set on a top-quality sport-fishing boat but are having trouble convincing your other half to go along, just take her aboard an Ocean 52"
Basically the 52 Ocean Super Sport is the most comfortable and best layout Yacht in her Class.
This particular 52SS was bought new in 2001 by her current owner and kept in New York for most of her life, she made the trip to Florida and back a few seasons, but mostly was kept in winter storage in NY and used there in the summers.
She has been full time in Sarasota, FL for the last few years. The owner encountered some mechanical issues in the past year and has stepped up to make them right, but is now ready to sell.
Throughout her life she was used as a cruising yacht, as evidenced by no outriggers, so the usage was light vs. a heavier worn fishing vessel.
The cosmetic condition is average for the age of the vessel with most soft goods being original (except new salon sofa), although the gelcoat is in much better shape than you would expect for a boat in FLA due to the fact she spent most of her life being used seasonally in NY (less harsh sun, heat, humidity).
