Perfect Family Yacht for California Coastal Cruising and Mexico
European Designed With Two Staterooms, Two Heads, Expansive Salon and Fly bridge
Amore a prima vista might sound like Greek to you, but it's Italian for "love at first sight." And that's exactly the reaction this pretty Italian-made boat will elicit from certain people. A perfect companion for an urban professional with eyes for something new, a contemporary waterfront home or apartment with a mooring out the front, the Azimut 42 is both daring by design and a darling to drive.
Unlike many imported boats, the flashy Azimut flybridge cruiser is totally unrestrained. A contemporary design, it feels, sounds and performs like nothing 40-odd feet long. Not that the Italians design boats any other way.
Indeed, Azimut rides the notion of innovation, but while the company distinguishes itself through innovation, it doesn't challenge convention at the expense of practicality. Its boats have a reputation for being user-friendly, which is why you can find them tied to marinas all round the world.

The following options above the standard items are included: super grand luxe decor (blue); extra pair of speakers in master stateroom; TV/DVD in master stateroom; 6 speakers and subwoofer w/volume control in cockpit; satelite TV system w/2 receivers and cell phone vhf. This 42 Azimut has the more popular 2 stateroom, 2 head layout. Upon entering the salon, you immediately notice the magnificent cherry wood interior woodwork. The galley is forward to port with the guest stateroom to starboard. The master stateroom is forward with a queen pedestal berth and private bathroom and shower to port. Heading toward the bow the guest head/day head and shower are to starboard.
There is an opposing conversation area with a sofa to starboard and a love seat to port. The salon is beautifully finished in cherry wood and blue fabrics. Communications are handled by a cell phone system. The entertainment is handled by an AM/FM/CD player, TV/DVD player interconnected to a fully stabilized satellite TV system w/receiver.
This stateroom has a TV/DVD connected to the satellite TV system with its own receiver and a pair of stereo speakers with volume control. The master stateroom is located in the bow and has a queen centerline berth and private head w/separate stall shower. The hanging lockers provide plenty of space for hanging clothes and drawers and shelves provide space for folded clothes. Ample light is provided by the large overhead hatch as well as side port lights.
There are two single berths in the Guest Stateroom to starboard with a hanging locker and stowage cabinet. A door forward of this stateroom leads to the starboard head effectively making the day head a guest ensuite head. All bulkheads in both stateroom are high gloss cherry wood. The sole in both staterooms is beige carpeting with beige vinyl headliners.
This galley is quite large for a vessel of this size. The mid-level galley has a two-burner cooktop, microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, double sink, ample cabinet storage space and excellent counter space. Because of the fact that it is mid-level, conversations can still be carried on with persons in the salon.

The Azimut 42 has an exceptionally spacious dinette for a yacht of its size, and makes full use of the space thanks to the rounded lines.
