This is Corair 31R Hull #148 - A Carbon Mast Version!
If you are looking for a clean, well set up, well maintained aft cockpit 31R then look no further. This exclusively* fresh-water F-31R is one of the sweetest boats you're likely to encounter.
She was been professionally maintained through 2013. Each year in the Spring the sailmaker arrived at the launch ramp with the sails fresh from their winter storage and whatever (if any) service was required, the engine mechanic arrived and installed the outboard which had been serviced and stored indoors, and personnel from The Multihull Source raised the mast, drove the boat off the trailer and bent on the sails. This procedure was reversed in the Fall.
All of the customization for this boat was done by The Multihull Source for the original owner when the boat was first purchased. These modifications included cutting back the port settee and building "head" area to port of the daggerboard trunk. A vertical aluminum pole anchored the counter and provided a compression post to give additional support to the cabin top. The mesh storage bags in the v-berth and the main cabin are also all Multihull Source customizations.
The second owner was also a boat builder who maintained the boat The third owner took the boat west to Calgary, Alberta where it was sailed on a local lake and stored indoors during the winter.

This aft cockpit version of the 31 came as a true "R" with only the forepeak as useable sleeping space. It comfortably accommodates two adults.
The main cabin originally only had a settee along the port and starboard sides. The port settee was cut back and a custom lightweight bulkhead was added in the same position as the factory marine head would have had. There is a custom counter-top with a stainless steel sink with an overboard discharge. There is also a custom platform next to the daggerboard trunk as a location for the porta potti. If one so desired, this could be converted to a marine head with a holding tank. There is a privacy curtain.
This boat does not have a galley. There is a sink in the custom built-in forward to port but no fresh water tank.
