'UBATUBA' is the three cabin owner's version of these strongly built South African cats. They have strong rigs, skeg hung rudders, mini keels and are accepted in the cruising community as a true offshore catamaran. For living aboard they are also highly rated by owners, the attractive looks of the molded interior are great for keeping clean, storage is abundant, galley up design and a huge fridge and freezer are just some of the comments.
The present owner bought 'UBATUBA' in 2007 and has cruised from the US the westerly route all the way through the Pacific before arriving here in Malaysia. On the way some significant upgrades and renewals have been completed... The whole interior and exterior was re painted in Mexico in 2012, in 2013 in New Zealand both engines were taken out for a complete overhaul and since arriving in Malaysia in 2015 the standing rigging has been inspected, some wire replaced.
The boat is stored ashore now, sails removed and awaits recommissioning for her new owners.

Accommodation
The bridgedeck is open and inviting, good seagoing galley design. A corner settee and two custom stainless/leather bar stools and a stainless steel/corian & wood dining table with seating for eight. Headroom is 6' 4". Teak & holly imitation floors throughout, courtesy lights and dimmer switches, five (5) Hella fans throughout, 17" flat screen TV c/w custom swing out bracket arm and DVD/VCR combination player.
The starboard hull is dedicated to the owners, the bathroom full forward is spacious, an office type desk in the centre of the hull with plenty of shelf, locker and hanging space. Fully aft is the owners' double cabin.
The port hull has two stairways down and the two double cabins share the head and shower in the centre of the hull.

Batteries & Electrics
The yacht's AC system is 110 Volt, two 30 amp shore power inlets (one dedicated to air conditioning) and cabin outlets. Two 50' shore power cables. HEART 25 inverter/charger.

The yacht's charging is from four solar panels totaling 320 watts, all regulated, 6Kva NORTHERN LIGHTS genset and two 120 amp engine alternators with 3 stage regulators.
