Looking for a serious Express Fisherman? Look no further. Repowered in 2010 with Cummins 6CTA @ 450hp this is a large and efficient engine package for the Stolper express and 'Vera Vita' has the performance to prove it: 25 knots @1950rpm burning about 30-35gph. Currently running out of Islamorada, Florida, she is ready to run her next owners to the Keys 'Humps' or wherever your adventures may take you.
The large, fishing cockpit is set up for just that: room for an entire family or charter to have numerous lines in the water. Whether troling, kite-fishing or deep dropping the 38' Stolper has you covered. This vessel is equipped with a sea chest to power two livewells; one in deck and one removable that has been plumbed to starboard. The rocket launcher takes up minimal space and can handle 4 rods. Also in the cockpit is a large macerated fishbox, salt- and fresh-water wash-downs, fridge/freezer box to port and tackle station to starboard.
At the lower, main helm (the tower has full control capabilities with new 2019 Glendinning controls) there is an electric lifting panel for the electronics with the VHF installed in the over head box. The Stolper features updated Garmin Autopilot and GPS (7600 series main and tower helms) with CHIRP transducer for finding the bottom fish. Speaking of bottom fish, the boat features 4 Hubbel plugs around the transom and to port. Protected by a large hardtop and full enclosure (New enclosure on order, install Jan 2020), port and starboard of the center helm are bench seating with new cushions with plenty of storage underneath. Just forward of the helm is the access to the engine room and entry to the cabin. Above the helm is the aforementioned electronics box and 11 rod holders.
Entering the cabin center-line, four steps take you down to the pretty spacious cabin. Immediately to port is the enclosed head and separate shower. To starboard is the galley featuring a microwave, sink, in counter fridge and coffee maker. Forward of the head is the entertainment center with stereo, amplifier television mount and AC handler - the boat is equipped for shore power at this time although is plumbed and wired for a generator (previously had a Northern Lights). The forward area, currently used exclusively for storage, houses a V-Berth and the owners have the original in storage for those that want an overnight option.
Up in the tower, the second station with new bolsters is protected by a nice size canvas top. New Glendinning controls, updated Garmin and VHF round out the options up there.
