One of the worlds best engineered power boats. Even at this level, you have undoubtedly discovered a simple, perhaps inequitable, fact of life. There are power boats. And there are Tiaras.
There are power boats which offer the initial impression of spaciousness and lavish comfort, yet perpetuate the mistaken notion that volume alone can atone for a lack of style, performance, and functional planning.
And those in which every square inch is subtly endowed with beauty, efficiency, comfort and performance. Considerations based not solely on size, but on the sheer magnitude of meeting the aesthetic and personal needs of those of you who've earned the right to get away from it all...and still want to take most of it with you.
Excellence that wasn't born yesterday
The roots of the Tiara pedigree go back over sixty years to founder Leon Slikkers obsession to create a power boat that went beyond the ordinary parameters of sea-going craft. To this task, he brought the unwavering price for excellence, an instinct for extraordinary design and a commitment to creating the best power boat money could buy, regardless of the conventions of the time. In the sequence to follow, he became the creator of the Slickcraft legend, the designer of one of the first trailerable buddy cabin boats, a leading figure in the evolution toward fiberglass, and in 1974 the founder of S2 Yachts, later to include Tiara. Once considered a maverick, he created industry standards behind which his competitors inevitably fall into step. Standards rooted in excellence and innovation, involving the unlikely coupling of Old World Dutch craftsmanship and modern day technology.
Hull design that sets the standard for performance.
You can't get around the fact that Tiaras efficient performance, quick planning, and smooth ride are the result of superb hull design and engineerings. A performance evolution that has set the industry standard for running efficiency. Basically, the Tiara hull is a hybrid of the wave-slicing deep V and the more stable modified V hulls. A deep V entry in the forward section concentrates water mack to the modified V configuration of a unique running surface called Paraplane bottom.
Its rigid parallel running areas reduces friction enabling every Tiara to plane quicker and operate at peak efficiency sooner than most boats, with less energy drain. Its reversed outer chines offer stability and extra lift. And the addition of a skeg on the larger Tiaras helps foster remarkable proficiency in tracking and maneuvering. Together they give Tiara the ability to slice through waves softly and comfortably rather than ricochet off the top. To hold a clean deliberate track, without slipping across wave tops, walking back and forth and tripping on hight speed turns. To turn back spray from passengers. And best of all, to offer a smaller appetite for fuel than most boats of comparable size.
