Impala 36 (Jensen), Beautiful Danish-made ship, very high-performance sailor
'Emma' was built in 1988 but was well maintained. With the mahogany interior finish, the interior exudes class with a classic line. The architect is Björn Jensen, who already has several prize-winning designs on his mind.
In 2012 a new engine was installed (Volvo Penta D1-30) with high-performance folding propeller and + -200 sailing hours, a beautiful set of sails is present, including a performance mainsail with mounted mast carts, radial-triradial breeding and genoa, gennaker and spi. In terms of electronics, the boat is also fully equipped with pilot, GPS, chartplotter, navigation computer, VHF, radar, ... The boat was also stored in a shed every winter.
'The ship' was classified as follows, when entering you will find the chart table on starboard with all the electronics and connections, behind which a double cabin under the cockpit. On port side you will find the L-shaped kitchen with a single cabin behind it (currently used as storage space). For the kitchen you have a beautiful saloon with folding table in U-shape and a starboard bench on starboard. You will also find a double cabin at the front with just the wet cell (completely mahogany in beautiful condition!) And a nice solution for storage space for clothes.
Some things that are worth mentioning are: teak-covered cockpit, backstay tensioner, new lines and falls, custom electric anchor winch. The impala is in good condition but expects a few minor refurbishments in the future. The ship was used for a sailing school because of its reliability, but of course has waived a bit. The owner has always looked after the ship and is currently giving it a final maintenance.
