This is a really well kept vessel you’d be proud to own. This Bruce Kind design is, like all Ericsons, recognized for superior construction, performance, maneuvering and beautiful, comfortable interiors. They made 4 generations of Ericson 26’s and based on the age, this appears to be the latter design built from 1987 through some 300 hulls. The interior layout is fairly traditional with boats of this size. It is rich with teak wood and a teak and holly sole. The double forepeak berth has a standing area between the head to starboard and the hanging locker to port which is divided from the main salon a solid wooden door. There are port and starboard settees and a table that collapses to the bulkhead when not in use, otherwise the bi-fold design easily seats the crew for eating or game playing. The galley is L-Shaped on the port side and a large quarter berth is on the starboard side. Headroom is 6’and the berths are at least 6’ long. The rig is a fractional sloop which makes for easier headsail handling and a well-balanced boat under the main alone. The keel is a fin and the spade rudder is inboard. It’s a fresh water boat only. The aging owner cannot sail anymore and has bought a lake home. USCG Documented
