For a realistic feel and view of the boat please watch the walkthrough video and spend some time on the 7 360 photos moving around the spaces. These 360 photos give a more realistic feel for the boat condition and layout.
At first approach you immediately notice the beam of the boat. At 13' this appears a very wide boat for a boat with a 38' LOA. The swim platform comes out about 21” from the transom. The swim platform is equipped with weaver davit brackets and a removable outboard stand and skeg pad.
The overall first impression yields a very clean, good looking, well cared for boat. The hull is clean and bright. The canvas and isinglass is intact and complete but there is some clouding and dirty/moldy areas, some elbow grease with these panels would likely yield more years of service. There are screens on the side aft curtains.
As you enter the boat the cockpit feels massive with a measurement of about 13’ x 10’ of floor space, you can really feel the beam here. The cockpit is a open area with portable chairs and table. The wood trim and gunnels look great and there are 4 rod holders across the aft portion. All wood is nicely finished. There is a wash down hose connection, a flatscreen TV, 110 outlet, epirb and fire extinguisher in the main area behind the fwd seats.
Moving to helm you find updated electronics including a modern Garmin GPSmap 740 and a larger Garmin GPSmap 4210. The helm seats are clean, soft and pliable, clearly recently reupholstered. A new looking Uniden VHF radio is just to STBD of the helm. The hour meter on the helm reads 1039 hours as of January 2020. Inboard shifters are at the helm with the usual configuration, transmissions to the port of the helm, throttles to the stbd of the helm. The cockpit fiberglass floor is bright white and clean, no soft spots were noticed. Several snap in mats can be found throughout and are in good shape.
As you slide open the cabin door you immediately notice the bright white new salon port side bench. The cleanness of the upholstery and the beautiful flooring makes the space feel very inviting. This space does not feel like most 80’s boats which are dark and dinghy. The headroom is about 6’1”. The openess of the area and the wide beam really make this space feel special.
The galley is equally modern looking with beautiful countertops and backsplash. The stainless sink, faucet, and two burner stove trim is all polished and new looking, again making this feel not like a boat of this era. Ample counter space, build in cabinets and stainless faced refrigerator make this a very function galley that is sure to impress. It’s easy to almost not notice the microwave on the fwd wall of the galley as it is built into the wall.
Just aft of the galley you find a sunken aft birth, your eyes again go immediately to the new upholstery and beautifully finished table. There is a track for a curtain to separate this space if it is used as a birth. This aft birth also has it’s own flat screen mounted on a swing out bracket. Coming out of the aft birth you notice a china type cabinet that holds wine glasses and plenty of room for other supplies. Next to that you find the Cruisair air conditioning panel. This is all just inside the large see through cabin door that extends far to the STBD, all this transparent glass really allows a lot of natural light into the cabin which I believe helps the light open feel of this area.
Mid ship you find a wet head with vaculflush toilet, 2 access doors and large countertop.
Moving forward to the v berth you find a good size island bed with walk arounds on each side making access great. There is no need to wake your partner to step out during the night with access on both sides. This area, like the others is very clean and inviting, the beautifully finished wood and clean bright white cabinets match the rest of the boat in making this area feel more modern than a 1987. It is obvious a lot of work has been done to make and keep this boat looking the way it does. There is also a flat screen TV in the v-berth area along with a DVD player on a shelf above the TV. Overall this is a very clean boat with a lot of room through out. If you are looking for a well maintained, clean boat that is warm and inviting without spending newer boat type money, this may be the boat for you. It is currently stored in an indoor facility and ready to be shown by appointment.
Gas Crusader Model 350 454ci closed cooling engines fill the engine room. There is plenty of room around them for maintenance through 3 large removable engine hatches. Batteries are housed in a nice box between the engines for easy access. An aft cockpit floor hatch yields access to the transom area that is great for storage. In it you will find life jackets and a removable cockpit magma type grill. There is no Generator onboard.
