Built-in the period after Maxi Yachts came under the umbrellas of Nimbus powerboats the Pelle Petterson designed Maxi Mixer as a significant step forward from her predecessors. A greatly improved build quality and finish below decks stands her apart from the earlier designs while retaining the sailing performance which established the Maxi brand. The high-quality interior, however, came with a price tag and the model did not prove a commercial success; built-in low numbers by any production boatbuilding standard.
Extensively upgraded during the current ownership. With works including a new Beta Marine Diesel engine in the last 2 years along with new canvas work in the last 12 months and a comprehensive sail wardrobe SEQUOIA offers great value for money. Below decks she offers accommodation for six adults with a separate heads compartment and upholstery fitted new in 2009. A rewarding sailing boat she offers safe secure cruising while being more than capable in regattas.
Currently lying afloat in Mid-Argyll viewing is by prior appointment.
The Pelle Petterson designed Maxi Yachts are still highly regarded for their sailing performance and the Maxi Mixer is no different.
The Maxi Mixer originated after Maxi Yachts feel under the umbrella of the premium Swedish motor yacht manufacturer Nimbus. Under the direction of Nimbus the interior construction and finish found on the Mixer is a considerable step up from previous Maxi yachts. SEQUIOA is fitted with the 'Cruising' version of the interior with the large heads aft.
