A super clean, nicely equipped and updated Beneteau classic, this yacht has the three-stateroom layout that families prefer and the performance serious sailors are looking for. Call today for your appointment to see "MerSea."
This three-stateroom, one-head yacht is part of Beneteau's First series, designed with performance sailing without skimping on cruising accommodations. The previous owners of "MerSea" had refinished the interior to a high standard, with gleaming surfaces, teak and otherwise, throughout. Upholstery fabrics show little wear. Large saloon tinted side windows, new in 2011, spread daylight inside, as do numerous other hatches and ports. Light fixtures, many replaced over the past few years, are thoughtfully placed. The yacht is served by a pressure hot and cold water system. Here's the layout, fore to aft:
The forward stateroom features a broad-shouldered vee-berth, under-berth storage, adjoining hanging locker storage, and a large translucent hatch overhead.
The private, easy-to-clean head, next aft to port, includes a Raritan manual toilet, with a 12 gallon holding tank. All sanitation hoses and the Y-valve have recently been replaced. The fiberglass vanity and sink has storage compartments, a shower head, and storage compartment above.
Next aft, the saloon provides comfortable seating on an L-shaped settee to port and another settee to starboard. When not in use, the centerline table's leaves fold down to provide more social space. There's plenty of storage in cabinets, shelves and under seats.
The L-shaped galley, aft of the dinette settee to port, includes a Force 10 propane two-burner and oven stove, a Sea Freeze top-loading refrigeration, a double stainless steel sink, a fold-away extension counter extension, plus drawer, cabinet and shelf storage.
Across from the galley to starboard is the forward facing navigation station with seat and array of electronics and electrical system panels.
Further aft are two private mirror image double staterooms, both with storage lockers and large berths. Each has a portlight opening into the cockpit for light and ventilation.
The generous cockpit, with teak slat benches and cushions, provides a comfortable space for sailing, with the tiller down, or socializing, with the tiller up. An array of Lewmar winches makes for easier line handling. A dodger, bimini and full enclosure, makes cockpit an all-season space.
Exeptionally wide side decks ease access to the foredeck. The deck is encircled with stainless steel pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and lifelines. A hinged boarding ladder at the stern provides access from the water or dinghy. At the bow, roller and locker serves the ground tackle, including a Sea Hook anchor, 100' of chain and 200' of dacron rode, and managed by a Lewmar Pro Series 1000 electric windlass
With aluminum spars, the rig includes a Quickvang boom vang, a backstay adjuster, and an adjustable babystay. Sails include full-batten main with lazy jacks and sail cover, 135% genoa on Furlex 200S furler, #3 jib, and Gennaker with sock..
