Overview
The Hans Christian 33 is an excellent heavy-displacement, full-keel, canoe sterner, cruise the world sailing yacht, designed to handle heavy seas with comfort and ease. With her wide bowsprit, roller furling genoa, and cutter rigging, she is a favorite with knowledgeable, experienced blue-water sailors.
Built in the Hansa Yard, these are ultra solid, and built without coring in both the hull and deck.. Throughout, there are thoughtful details, with all available spaces used for storage. The interior is finished with gorgeous teak woodwork that was exquisitely done. The mast is stepped on deck, and you have Stainless Steel pulpits both aft and forward, and Stainless Steel stanchions with lifelines running the full length of the boat. There are Barient self tailing winches on the mast for the halyards, and Barient self tailing winches in the cockpit for the sheets. There is a Sampson post forward for anchoring, along with a small deck box, and then brass hawse holes, forward, midships, and aft. The Binnacle compass is mounted on a brass binnacle and steering pedestal. Overhead at the companionway is the brass & teak boom crutch, with the cockpit Bimini attached. There are Dorade Boxes on deck for constant ventilation, and opening portholes, which allow for good air flow throughout the boat.
Beautiful well-planned interior for cruising and live-aboard. Sleeps 5, 2 in Pullman cabin, 2 aft cabin, and 1 on settee. From the cockpit going forward - Down the companionway into the galley to port. The companionway has storage under each step and comes apart into two pieces for ease of access to the engine compartment. To starboard is a double berth with 3 shelves and 1 hanging locker separated by a beautiful teak door. The L- shaped dinette is forward of the galley and to port with storage underneath. Above the dinette is a beautiful double hatch which allows for light and ventilation. To starboard is a settee which converts to singe berth. Forward end of settee is a Nav station/chart table where the master panel is also located. Under the chart table is a storage locker. Forward of the dinette to port is a queen size Pullman berth with 2 storage lockers and 4 drawers under. At the foot of the Pullman berth is a book and TV shelf. Across from the Pullman berth to starboard are 2 large double hanging lockers. Forward through a beautiful teak door is the athwartships head. To port is a step into stand up or sit down tile shower with teak seat. To starboard is the sink with marble counter top and toiletry cabinet behind. The Jabsco electric toilet is forward in the center with a hanging locker to port. Further forward is a large anchor locker. Aqua Air reverse cycle air conditioning system. The galley is to port with 5 drawers and large dry storage. Galley has double sink with hot/cold pressure water and cold manual water pump. There are 2 dry storage cabinets under sink. Force 10 LPG stove and oven, Adler Barbour refrigeration with freezer that is top and side loading for the ease of stowing and retrieving food. All the way forward we have an enclosed head, with access to the chain locker. The stall shower is to port and has a seat, along with being ceramic tiled on the bottom third. The toilet is forward and centred with the discharge going to the holding tank. The stainless sink, counter, and cabinet are to starboard.

With her large bowsprit, roller furling genoa, and cutter rigging, she is a favorite among blue water aficionados. The boats built in the Hansa Yard are superb, totally solid, and built without any coring in the decks or hull. Everywhere you turn, you see thoughtful, overbuilt details, with every teak nook & cranny being used for storage. Her interior is finished throughout with gorgeous teak woodwork that was exquisitely done.

Accommodations
The layout in this 33' model is just fantastic. All the way forward we have an enclosed head, with access to the chain locker. The stall shower is to port and has a seat, along with being ceramic tiled on the bottom third. The toilet is forward and centered with the discharge going to the holding tank. The stainless sink, counter, and cabinet are to starboard. Over head there is a large screened hatch, and the solid teak door assures privacy.
Aft of the head is the master stateroom with the Pullman berth to port and a full length hanging locker opposite. The berth is 6'5" long and extra wide, making her a real bed for a live-aboard couple. Under the berth there are six drawers and two lockers for storage.
Moving aft and amidships the boat opens to a nav station, followed by an extra wide settee on the starboard side, while to port we have an L
shaped dinette. There is a large butterfly opening hatch overhead of the dinette that is screened.
On the port side, aft of the dinette we have the galley with it's two S/S sinks, the gimbaled GSI propane, two burner stove & oven, followed by the top & front loading, holding plate refrigerator. She has pressure water, both hot & cold, which is a pleasure.
Aft on the starboard side we have the enclosed, aft stateroom with a large hanging locker and quarter berth.
