Jim Taylor is an exceptional Naval Architect recognized for designing Sabre Yachts, Precision Yachts, and numerus One-Design custom racing yachts validated by top racing results. Please go to his website

The T-37 was designed for Texas Marine International as an ocean cruiser capable of high performance as a club racer, without sacrifice of structural integrity, by a renowned team of yacht builders in Florida. Two were sold under the banner of TMI Yachts, then the company sold the molds to Graves Yacht Yard in Marblehead, Ma (home of designer Jim Taylor) who completed this hull #3. You will see it in their brochure and advertising. Yes, the white, blue and green spinnaker goes with this boat! They sold project to Starflight Yachts in Canada.

Says the designer, To insure ample ultimate stability and still allow lively performance, the displacement is moderate. In a tall sail plan, a sturdy mast section and a larger-than-normal main make for a secure and easily-handled rig. A low-wetted-surface hull form has a fine entry for windward work and a full run for speed off the wind, stability, and minimum pitching. A rather long fin keel allows a large and efficient lifting foil, low center of gravity, and moderate draft. Stout rudder construction, liferaft stowage, vertical companionway slides and a sturdy stemhead are all responses to lessons derived from the last Fastnet Race?.

The layout places emphasis on the light, ventilation and feeling of spaciousness. Three cabins allow complete privacy for two couples and there is still room for an added crew. Aft, the ¼ berth privacy is maintained by folding door, which is opened to enhance spaciness during day, plus easy access to nav station next to cockpit. Across to starboard is galley with propane stove, double sink, and large icebox and storage. The salon boasts a pull-out double berth to port and single berth to starboard, a large fold-down, fold-out bulkhead dinette table, storage cabinets and drawers both sides plus hanging lockers to starboard. Forward a large head to port with a stall shower with seat. The V-berth has storage under double berth and drawer storage and hanging locker to starboard.

Topside, the controls are grouped within easy reach of the T-shaped cockpit for shorthanded cruising. She has wide side decks, high forward freeboard to keep decks dry, and low freeboard aft to facilitate stepping into a dinghy. The T-37 has a solid fiberglass hull with a fiberglass sub-frame that incorporates floors, the mast step, and anchors for the main bulkheads and distributes shroud and keel loads over a large area. The deck has a Klegecell core. Her auxiliary diesel engine has been replaced with a 40hp Yanmar.

Straightforward design by a well recognized Naval Architect, built by a premiere New England yard, sets this yacht apart. Being hull #3 of only 3 built keeps it unique!

Exceptionally clean!  Teak recently stripped for low maintenance!  Also of note 2 water tanks, lots of water!  Priced right with lots of flexibility to add the items most important to you.
I'm here to answer any questions.  Lots of interior photos, please email for link to more.
