The hull, deck, and structure are very strong. The hull features solid hand-laid FRP/PVC foam composite with FRP-covered stringers and frames and a uniquely designed hull-to-deck joint.
Bulwark girder (tm): fiberglassed in place creating an extremely strong triangulated hull-to-deck structure.
Deck and cabin house: FRP composite, incorporating 3/4" Airex PVC foam core resulting in great strength with excellent moisture resistance.
New high-lift carbon fiber rudder: carbon fiber shaft maximizes performance and handling while being significantly lighter and stronger than the original FRP rudder.
New steering system: high molecular rudder bearings, pulleys, and custom Edson pedestal.
The interior has been completely rebuilt as new. All cabinetry has been replaced or customized. There are new teak and holly cabin soles, new headliners, new mattresses, new upholstery, and new lighting and fixtures. All woodwork is highly finished with varnish and paint, and is of the highest quality craftsmanship.
You enter the main cabin from the forward companionway. The galley is to port and the nav station is to starboard. The main salon is forward, with a C-shaped dining settee and table to port and opposing settee to starboard with outboard pilot berths. Aft is the owner’s cabin and en suite head. The forward area contains a cabin with double berth, a head, and a forepeak cabin.
Aft Owner’s Cabin
There are two entries to the owner’s stateroom – via a private cockpit companionway or through the aft 4-panel teak doorway off the galley. The cabin contains new teak bulkhead veneers, ash ceilings with custom fiberglass headliner, custom teak and holly sole, and custom cabinetry, 2018. There is a rug on the cabin sole.
To port is a large double bed with custom spring mattress and Ultrasuede cover, 2019. Lighting and ventilation are provided by a hatch over the berth, 2 red/white LED dome lights, 2 LED reading lights, a USB charging plug, and a 2-speed turbo fan.
The ample storage includes a large custom cedar hanging locker on the aft port bulkhead, large custom overhead lockers, an outboard storage shelf, a custom bureau with counter and drawers forward to starboard, a 4-drawer under-bunk compartment, and a binoculars rack.
There is an aft doorway to the private head.

Aft Owner’s Bathroom
The aft cabin has an en suite head. It was rebuilt with all new cabinetry and reconfigured to have a separate glass shower stall with granite walls and tempered glass door. The vanity has a granite countertop and there is an automatic toilet. There are overhead lockers.

Entering the main cabin from the forward companionway brings you to the portside galley. There is also access from the aft owner’s cabin.
The entire galley has been custom rebuilt as new. All of the woodwork and cabinetry is custom made with ventilation cut-outs. The countertops are special lightweight high-strength granite over honeycomb composite.
The U-shaped galley is the perfect configuration for cooking underway. Facing forward into the salon are twin stainless steel deep sinks with stainless steel faucets. A countertop and lockers are outboard. On the port side is a Force Ten 4-burner stainless steel gimballing propane stove with oven and broiler, fitted cutting boards, and hand railing. Aft is a large counter top over custom refrigeration and freezer compartments with overhead lockers.

The nav station is to starboard of the main companionway ladder and faces aft. It has an athwartships double seat with backrest. The angled chart table has a hinged opening top to the storage locker beneath. A large hanging locker is inboard of the chart table. There are instruments, navigation, and communications equipment on the aft bulkhead over the chart table. Outboard of the seat and chart table are double bookshelves and a custom electrical distribution panel. All electronic instruments and navcom equipment was recently replaced in 2017.

The expansive and beautifully varnished main salon is forward of the galley and nav station. To port is a C-shaped settee with backrest and a dining table. There is an opposing settee with backrest to starboard. Both settees have pilot berths outboard and above, storage drawers under both berths, and an overhead locker forward of the pilot berths. The dining table with special inlays is unique and folds out for additional seating.
There are two doors on the main bulkhead, one to port to the forward head and one to starboard to the forward cabin. Upholstery, cabinetry, cabin sole, lights, and hatches are new and highly finished in varnish.
Forward of the main salon is a guest cabin with a large double berth to port with overhead lockers and shelf. To starboard is a large 3-drawer bureau with counter and recessed hanging locker above. Forward of this is an adjustable pilot berth. Cabin sides have varnished ash ceilings. There are all new hatches, lights, upholstery, headliner, and cabinetry.

The fully rebuilt forward head has an automatic freshwater toilet outboard to port with a teak vanity forward. There is a stainless steel sink and faucet with a large locker above. The semi-flush deck has a low wedge cabin top that blends into the foredeck. There are wide side decks with inboard genoa and jib tracks. The entire deck was recently stripped, re-primed and re-painted with Awlgrip. All original hatches were replaced with new Bomar and Goiot hatches. Additional hatches have been added for superb ventilation and lighting. The side deadlights have been replaced with tempered glass. All exterior wood is freshly stripped and varnished. All deck fittings and deck hardware have been replaced with new.
There is a large comfortable cockpit aft with extra-long seats and a large bridge deck. The cockpit floor and seat tops are covered with new teak decking. There is a removable cockpit table. The cockpit companionway is a custom addition with a custom Bomar hatch and companionway ladder. There is all new canvas work including dodger and removable full cockpit enclosures.
The cockpit floor has been rebuilt as new and has a large removable section for extra access to the engine room below. The starboard seat has a large hinged opening hatch to the engine room as well. There is a custom Edson steering pedestal aft and the mizzen mast is located on the forward wall of the cockpit.

Sails and Rigging
The sail plan features a powerful high aspect ketch rig. This split rig configuration provides for excellent performance, easy sail handling, and quick sail area reduction by lowering the mainsail to go under the classic “jib and jigger” combination.
In 2017 the aluminum spars were replaced by super strong, Hall Custom carbon fiber spars including main mast, mizzen mast, main boom, and spinnaker pole. The added strength and reduced weight aloft allow for an increase of mainmast height by 2.5’ and increased stability as well as reduced pitching and rolling in a seaway. All deck and sail handling gear, running and standing rigging were replaced and upgraded.
