The C&C 43s were a limited production racer/cruiser from C&C’s custom shop. These iconic yachts were designed to be sleek and sturdy and fast. The 43 is still winning regattas, cruising the globe and shining a spotlight on C&C’s heritage.
Two of Long Reach’s sister ships have had recent retrofits. Mme. Caprice was restored at Northshore Boatworks in Oakville. While her deck, hull, and forward ring bulkhead were original, her interior and all systems were completely replaced with and interior fininshed in the classic Herreshoff style. Mme.Caprice has been a 100% successful transformation into a luxurious cruising sloop.
Usual Suspects was another of Reach’s fellow 43s. She was brought home to Bruckmann Yachts (C&C’s custom shop) and her restoration highlights Bruckmann’s craftsmanship while providing a balance between racing and cruising. From new cored bulkheads and a redesigned deck and interior all systems were redone. Her first in class SORC finish, trans Atlantic and Pacific passages attest to the incredible success of this project.
Long Reach is structurally solid, with hull and deck sounding solid and dry. The hull has been refinished however she is virtually still as built. This presents a wonderful blank canvas opportunity for those looking for vessel with a historic pedigree, which can be fitted for today’s discerning sailor.

Long Reach represents an opportunity to own an original C&C43. Topsides have been re-gelcoated and decks are orginal but in very good condition. She has a modererate sail inventory, main, genoa, jib and spinnaker - all sails are older but very useable.
Deck layout is again original - nice old Barient winches in good shape. Perkins 4-108 diesel is orginal and runs quite well. Transmission is noisy and should get a rebuild.
