Sally Tinker is a 31' Concordia built by Bud McIntosh in 1961. She is a 16,000 lb iron ballasted gaff-rigged wooden boat with a beam of 9'4 and draft 5'3. Frames and floors are oak. Bulkheads are pine & she has the traditional pipe berths, borrowed from the Concordia Yawl. Newer diesel motor. Airhead composting toilet. She has a dynel deck and is structurally sound.
A list of repairs and projects undertaken by her current owner:
Entire hull, below the waterline, was re-fastened in January 2019.
Replace 3 planks - two above, one below water-line
Added 100 lb storm anchor
Replaced fisherman-style anchor with a 45 lb Danforth.
Installed two new 12-volt marine batteries
Added battery switch
Added Solar panel
ALL electronics are new, including running lights, interior lights, bilge pumps (1 automatic, 1 manual), and an anchor (night time) light.
New Simrad Tiller pilot.
Engine (3 cylinder Yanmar diesel) rebuilt in 2017, installed in the summer of 2018. It has under 100 hrs of use.
New 12.5 gallon fuel tank installed.
There is a fuel gauge in the instrument panel but it has not yet been connected to the tank. The parts and instructions are on the boat and ready to be installed.
Installed foot pumps for both sinks.
Installed composting toilet (Airhead brand)
The thru-hull fitting for the old head was removed and the hole in the planking repaired.
Built and installed ladder.
Built and installed hand-rails
New swim ladder is in one of the cockpit lazarettes.
Installed access hatch in cockpit (needs to be bedded and screwed in place)
New chain plates made and installed
Added safety equipment including life jackets, life saver, fire extinguisher, flares, air horn.
