“A REEL DIVE” is custom rigged to be a family fishing, diving and cruising vessel. Her equipment list for a boat her size is second to none, as is the quality of her build. She was the last of the original CABOs to be built in the famous Adelanto California facility. She was built with C 18 1000 hp CATS for efficiency not mind blowing speed. Her renowned Michael Peters hull design has a sharp entry and large bow flare for a soft dry head sea ride. Her massive 17’9” beam allows for great beam sea stability and huge interior volume. The 3 stateroom 2 head layout has a custom berth arrangement to sleep 8 and has an incredible amount of storage.
Below please find a summary of her incredible options, custom equipment and highlights:
The cockpit on “A REEL DIVE” is huge, thanks in part to her 17’9” beam. It is equipped to be versatile and offers the best of all worlds. She has a custom teak high gloss rocket launcher in the center of her cockpit which can be easily removed and swapped out with a stored oval shaped fiberglass table. She is equally comfortable trolling the edge, diving a wreck or hosting a docktail party. Her factory mezzanine seating keeps you in the middle of all the action. Port side by the mezzanine is a Raymarine multi-function display to watch the fishfinder or follow the chart while underway. On the stern is a swimplatform with dive ladder and an oversized tuna door. Custom teak covering boards and teak mezzanine look sharp. There is a transom livewell with bait tank window. She has twin macerated in deck fish boxes. The stbd box is plumbed for the eskimo ice chipper and the port has freezer plates. Stbd fwd in the cockpit are the cockpit controls, ladder to the bridge and salon entrance door.
Entering the salon, the layout looks familiar, but the space seems much larger than normal thanks to her beam. The interior décor is classic CABO. She has the optional teak and holly sole in the salon and galley along with solid teak satin finished cabinetry. There is a large L shaped sofa with storage underneath it to port with a Hi/lo table. Satarboard forward is a large dinette with flatscreen tv on fwd bulkhead.
Port side fwd on the main deck is the galley. It has everything a shipboard gourmet could require. Galley equipment and features include:
Large corian countertops with a raised sea edge
At the top of the stairs before descending below, there are two cabinets, one on either side with huge storage compartments. Four steps down from the main salon and galley level brings us to the superbly laid out lower accommodations. The three state room two head arrangement is set up to sleep 8 comfortably.
Immediately to stbd at the base of the stairs is a guest state room. It has one large athwartships berth capable of sleeping two adults. It also has an elevated berth fore and aft for a third person with 2 large storage cabinets underneath.
To port amidships is the master state room. She has a walk around queen berth with night stands on either side. The bed also flips up to reveal yet another large storage area. Smaller drawers, cabinets and a hanging locker round out the master stateroom storage capabilities. She has an en suite head with corian countertop and sole, vaccu flush marine toilet and large stall shower. The vanity over the sink has unusually deep shelving worthy of mention.
Directly across from the master in the hallway is the over/under stainless steel washer and dryer.
Walking forward in the companionway to stbd is a door to a second full head. This head also has private access from the fwd state room.
In the forepeak of the vessel is the third state room. It is smartly laid out for maximum berths and maximum comfort. There are two elevated single berths in a V shape with a third larger berth to port. Under the starboard bunk are two large teak cabinets with deep shelving. A door for private access to the second head is stbd aft.
Back out on the mezzanine we access the bridge to stbd via an aluminum ladder with teak steps. The bridge is huge with seating fwd, port and stbd of the helm. In keeping with the rest of the vessel there is a massive amount of storage under the bench seating, console and fwd brow. Behind the helm there are two teak captain’s chairs. Whether sitting or standing, the visibility is great and there is a full complement of shipboard electronics.
On the mezzanine there is a centerline hatch that lifts up for engine room access. You climb down a small ladder over the aft on center mounted SEA KEEPER GYRO. Outboard aft on both sides are oversized 21.5 KW ONAN Gensets. These size generators are more commonly found on much larger yachts. Her C 18 CAT engines have only 1500 hours on them. There is plenty of room to walk around the front to the outboard sides for service. Additional engine room highlights include:
A REEL DIVE is loaded and clean.. Her 3 stateroom, 2 head layout is anything but common with the berths set up to sleep 8 people. There is more storage on this boat than most 70 foot motor yachts. If you are looking for a premium brand family fishing, diving or cruising boat in the 50 foot size range come look at “A REEL DIVE”. You will not find a better built, better laid out, better equipped or better value than her.
