"Double Eagle" is a very nice, one owner, competitive club racer / cruiser. The boat is fitted with a full compliment of electronics and an inventory of 14 sails, some of which have only been flown a couple of times. Additionally the boat is equipped with am autopilot, refrigeration and interior cushions in excellent condition.
If you're a racer, a cruiser, or both, this J-109 should be at the top of your short list.
A v-birth forward with a storage cabinet to port and hanging locker to starboard.
The salon features a navigator's station with chart table aft to starboard. Forward is a single full length settee. On centerline at the mast is a dining table with port and starboard drop leaves. The settee to port of the table converts to a double berth. The L-shaped galley to port aft completes the main cabin The galley is equipped with a double basin stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, an icebox with Sea Frost 12- volt refrigeration, built in trash receptacle, and a Force 10 two burner propane stove with oven. Aft of the main cabin to port is a private, spacious aft cabin with hanging locker. To starboard aft of the navigator's station is the vessel's enclosed head with lavatory, shower, and toilet. A door leading aft from the head gains handy access to a large starboard cockpit locker.
The v-berth and aft cabin bunk cushions are upholstered in dark blue fabric. The salon cushions are done in deep blue Ultra-suede. All cushions are in excellent condition.
The boat's interior is satin varnished cherry give comfortable and airy feel. Two opening hatches and multiple opening port lights let in lots of light and plenty of breeze.

The boat was originally equipped with a Marine-Air air conditioner unit. The unit was removed from the boat but is being kept in storage and can go with the boat at the purchaser's choice. Its operational status is unknown. The plumbing, electrical, and ductwork for the air conditioner system is still in place in the boat.
B & G touch screen multi-function chart plotter display and sailing computer at nav. station interfaced with three separate displays mounted in sea hood over the cockpit companionway. The system connects to a knot meter, depth sounder, and masthead wind speed / direction transducer.

The boat's bottom has recently been sprayed with a fresh coat of Pettit Vivid white antifouling paint. The saildrive has been painted with Trilux antifouling paint. The folding prop is coated with Pettit Barnacle Barrier.
J-Boats provided a supplemental skeletal grid upgrade that was installed in the boat's bilge approximately 10 years ago. This was a factory retrofit performed at no charge to the owner.
The boat's standing rigging (rods and turnbuckles) was replaced in 2014. The boat has since been raced one season.
