This is a rare 2001 EXTENDED SALON MODEL, unlike the majority of the 2000/2001 builds. The salon is longer than the original 48s which were extended in the cockpit deck - not the interior / bridge! It features a bar-counter separating the galley from the salon...a highly desirable feature with added storage.
The Navigator 48 has an ideal layout, with an open floorplan that combines the cockpit, salon and galley on one convenient level. The raised dinette and lower helm station permit dining or "driving" in climate-controlled comfort, with 360 degree views and a pilothouse door allowing easy access to the foredeck. She has two VIP staterooms, each with private heads and stall showers. The flybridge features a bar-counter with built-in electric BBQ, sink and refrigerator and storage cabinet. Aft of the seating is an 800lb. capacity Brower davit and the dinghy storage area for the Boston Whaler.
Options include satellite TV antenna system, Bose Lifestyle surround sound stereo, separate washer and dryer, and numerous custom touches. She has about 820 hours on her Volvo diesels. The bimini top, exterior cushions, canvas covers, dinghy cover, and awning were all done in 2016. This boat shows care!
The vessel has had ongoing service/maintenance including servicing the heat exchangers in 2016 along with mixing elbows on both engines, hoses, clamps, etc. The engines, generator, and outboard recently received their annual service.
This popular yacht shows beautifully inside and out!

The salon is striking with it's maple-wood cabinetry, sculptured carpet and neutral upholstery, highlighted by black-granite Corian countertops, black bar stools and window treatments. The high-quality carpet has snap-down canvas covers for protection. The large windows provide 360-degree views. Reccessed rope lighting and halogen lighting provide an elegant atmosphere for entertaining.
The salon and cockpit are ajoining, expanding the main living area on one convenient and inviting level! Entering through double sliding-glass doors from the cockpit, there is a sofa w/storage below) and a cocktail table to starboard; and a barrel chair is to port. For audio visual there is a Samsung 40" TV, DVD player, and a Bose Surround-sound stereo system with 6-disc CD changer. The satellite TV antenna is an active dome Intellian coupled through direct TV, and is mounted on a sub arch over and clear of the radar. There are 1" wood mini-blinds for privacy and textilene solar screens for the windshield, salon, and pilothouse doors. The windows are sliders for natural ventilation. Reverse-cycle air conditioning/heat provides year-round comfort. .
The master stateroom is amidships, with an athwartships queen "island" berth, with drawers under. The is a 32" Samsung mounted above the hanging lockers. The hanging lockers have auto-switch lights and cedar lining. There is an intercom system, a phone jack, and reverse-cycle air/heat. The master stateroom head is elegant, with clean Corian countertops w/molding in sinks, brass fixtures, mirrored overhead, Vacu-flush head system, Pergo-type flooring, exhaust fan, and a separate stall shower.
The guest stateroom also has a queen "island" berth, with 4 drawers under. It has air/heat, an overhead hatch and two opening ports, and a large locker with cedar lining and auto-switch lighting.
The guest head also has the same fitment as the master head: brass fixtures, mirrored overhead with halogen lighting, Vacu-flush head, exhaust fan, Pergo-type vinyl flooring, and a separate stall shower.
The U-shaped galley is larger than the standard model Navigator 48, and features the bar-counter with black-granite Corian, just like the Navigator 53 and 56. It also features black appliances, which are a striking compliment to the maple woodwork. There are two bar-stools.
The "raised pilothouse" is not a true pilothouse, which would be isolated from the living area. Rather, it is a lower helm station that provides climate-controled comfort in the company of your guests! The helm visibility is excellent, and there is a full compliment of quality electronics. The dinette, aft of the helm, seats four, and permits 360 degree views while dining...underway or at rest. The pilothouse door provides easy access to the foredeck.
The flybridge is quite spacious, and features a summer galley, abundant seating, shade, outdoor heating, and dinghy storage that frees up the cockpit and boarding access by having it up on deck.
The self-bailing cockpit features the flybridge overhang to provide shade. There is ample room for a table and chairs, for fishing, or staging for scuba diving in the cockpit. The tender is stored above on the flybridge overhang, out of the way when not in use. The foredeck and cockpit deck have been updated with two-tone finish.
The modern engine room is very spacious, brightly lit and well laid out, providing easy access to engines and systems.
The cooling system had a major service performed in 2016. Both engine exhaust elbows were replaced, the heat exchangers were serviced, new hoses, clamps, etc., were installed.
Remote control for the underwater lights also controls the cockpit light, the flybridge lights and the boat deck light. This is very handy when returning to the boat by dinghy as it allows for easy location of the boat at night.
