Carina would be an easy boat for a new sailor, or a comfortable boat for an experienced sailor. This B29 has been lightly used and well maintained. Recent upgrades include instruments, autohelm and sails.
The original Bayfield 29 factory brochure described the B29 as following Bayfield's design philosophy of a functional, sailable, beautiful offshore sailboat for a crew of 1 to 5. The Bayfield 29 offers more usable value than anything else in her size range as a live-aboard, long distance cruiser or local harbour sailer.
The Bayfield 29 has a head forward with marine toilet and sink. Aft, the salon has opposing settees and salon table with folding leaves.
The bulkhead has panels that slide into place for privacy. Galley is aft to starboard. Nav station is aft to port. Behind both are quarterberths.
The deck features the classic Bayfield carved wooden bowsprit. The rig has fore and aft lowers and good deck space for a 29 footer.
